This is a crazy idea concerning luck in ED

Basically, what if it was made that everything had a much larger chance of happening (rather than 1 crit per fight on average given a focus build, how about on average 4 crits, and same with blocks/deflects), and that the severity of these things was greatly lowered?

Here's what my changes to follow up with this suggestion are (as always, damage calculations will round up):

1. Critical hit base chance is doubled, critical hit max chance is increased by 10%, and crit chance scaling is reduced from 7 points for 1% to 4 points for 1%
2. Increased critical hit moves such as bunker, cheap shot, and plasma cannon will have a new 30% chance as their BASE, rather than 8% (since I doubled 4%, it became 8)
3. Minimal crit chance is quadrupled to 4%
4. New critical damage formula: initially deals 25% more damage, then AFTER calculating the boosted damage, ignores 15% of the opponent's defenses
5. Block base chance is increased by 5% to 13%
6. Block minimum chance is increased by 4% to become 6%
7. Block max chance stays the same, block scaling increased from 2.5 points for 1% to 3 points for 1%
8. Deflection base chance is increased by 3% to now become 13%
9. Deflection minimum chance is increased to be 6% rather than its previous 4%
10. Deflection maximum chance increased by 15% to now be 40%
11. New block damage formula: A blocked attack will be reduced to 35% of its normal damage
12. New deflection damage formula: A deflected attack will be reduced to 75% of its normal damage
13. As always, crits will occur before deflection damage is calculated. A blocked attack can never get a critical hit.
14. Multiple hit-moves will all be changed so that each hit has the same damage
15. Each separate move of any multi-hitting attacks such as zerker and double strike will be changed so that each separate hit has its own chance of being blocked or dealing a critical hit. This also applies to 2-shot guns
16. The moves will be changed so that bludgeon can be on par with its energy cost and damage boost when comparing to other attacks such as double strike given the new suggestions
17. Gun damage will also be changed so that there will be a difference between 2-shot and 1-shot guns
18. If maul is blocked, it cannot stun
19. If atom smasher/assimilation is blocked, it will remove 35% of the normal energy to match up with the new block damage formula
20. Referring to the 15th change, you may be worrying about massacre. Overall, considering it will simply be a flurry of small hits, the only way it could benefit would be if it crits multiple times and takes advantage of the armor ignoring. Therefore, massacre's stat requirement has now been changed to technology, and the skill is blockable.

This will most definitely change the battle engine by a large amount, so I don't particularly think it will be implemented. However, I'm throwing the idea out there. It would just mix things up a bit, and I don't think it would be worse than how luck is now, if not better.

This would be fine in RPG's but in a game like this, it would make it far too unpredictable. Unless we made the games longer, it would be... chaos?
Say we crit/block/deflect once every 12 hits. if you multiply all three by four.... ._.
Normally i would like this but in a short online pvp game its not very cool. Unless you made the games longer, which wouldnt be very cool either..
