NEW CHANGES/FEATURES:
  • New Arborgeddon promo package available! Package includes:
    • Botanical Battle Suit: Classless armor with new Armored Roots core. This core is cast on yourself and will root you to the ground, boosting your defenses and preventing you from doing melee attacks.
    • Botanical Hazard and Dark Botanical Hazard: Physical and Energy robot with Poison Spores ability. Poison Spores deals 60% of your Robot damage as poison over 4 turns.

  • The Epic Egg Hunt has ended! If you have leftover eggs, you can drop them off at any merchant.


BALANCE CHANGES:

Blocks
This change is meant to make blocks less frustrating and devastating when they occur.
  • Blocks now prevent 85% of damage instead of 100%
  • Blocked attacks still cannot stun or crit

Poison Effects
This change is meant to make poisons more interesting by allowing the poisoned player to cleanse the effect, and make applying the poison more tactical by applying it during Field Medic’s cooldown, or try to bait out an early heal from a player.
  • Poison effects can now be removed with Field Medic

Toxic Grenade
This change brings Toxic Grenade's damage closer to that of Venom Strike, and helps compensate for the fact that poisons can now be cleansed.
  • Poison damage increased to 4-13 damage per turn, from 3-12 damage per turn
    Now strikes for 70% primary weapon damage, up from a flat 5 damage.

Venom Strike
This change helps compensate for the fact that poisons can now be cleansed.
  • Poison damage increased to 3-12 damage per turn, from 2-11 damage per turn
  • Still strikes for 85% primary weapon damage


BUGS FIXED:
  • Fixed an issue where Recruit button could show the incorrect faction name
  • Curse Aura incorrectly showed "Level 1" while active in the stats page
  • Fixed a bug where Plasma Cannon's crit chance was being calculated incorrectly
  • World number not updating properly when switching in certain rooms
  • Removed dev-related error message that could fire after battle

Wow I am liking the new balance changes especially with blocks and field medic. Thanks for the changes rabble.

Hmmmm... about the blocks, now it should be a guaranteed 1,2 or 3 damage on strike right? Seems like last-minute lucky blocks won't be a problem anymore.

This update was all about poison!

The Botanical Hazard might become "OP" in 2vs2

I'm not so sure if I like the blocks, but I guess I will find out.

Would you look at that! There WAS a bug with plasma cannon's crit chance :P

This is a poisenous design note.

Where are the changed to mercenary they wre going to add? MERCENARY sucs it needs a buff.

It's a buff to Mercs, just indirect. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Blocks that is. Poison change is... interesting when looking from the strategical point of view.

I'd say the update is filled with buffs. All of it. Blocks may have been nerfed but now they aren't running wild + you still deal 15% damage so indirect buff to blockable skills, i.e. Mercs suffering from 'em. Sweet!

@Master Smasher: Maybe they removed too much.

Important note: There is a glitch with factions. Everyone's last activity has been increased by 30 days. So if I last played 4 days ago, it shows as 4+30=34 Days

I think this was the update to change build variety. Maybe now everyone will use a poison build! I know I am right now.

Since this is just a somewhat minor visual issue, we'll probably hold on until next week (possibly early in the week) to fix it, along with any other issues that may crop up over the weekend.

Hence the word "tactical".. :V You can use it after they Heal or before, it's a turn wasted for them and Energy if they are forced to Heal to get rid off the Poison. Not anyone can afford it. Won't mention Lvl 1 Heal may be weak for 'em OR high Heal may not be affordable or wasted.

Now that I'm thinking about blocks, Azrael's Gun (Will) got slightly nerfed, like players wanted! 15% damage does go through when blocked so it isn't completely wasted, especially Rage! :D

its also a turn wasted and energy wasted for u if they do heal.

i understand its supposed to be "tactical" but it isn't exactly helping poison builds.

We wanted to get out even more than this, but armors are quite a large time investment for the art team, and we wanted to make sure the skills we did have were polished.

We did come away with some pretty clear ideas for a few new cores though, so hopefully those can be done soon.

Did Poison builds need any help? If wasted turn and Energy, it'll apply to both. I doubt it'll change that much in regards to when players Heal. Lvl 1 Heal may seem inefficient and get rid off the Poison so you may catch up. High Heal may give them wasted HP or just not affordable (or costing too much), therefore not worth it.

Just so you know, my TLM and CH rely on Poison as their primary skill in their build. Somewhat.

@Rabble Like what (; anyways is it confirmed that next weeks release will be a war? I've never had experienced an epicduel war and excited if there is one next week.

An event is planned for next week, similar in scope to the Egg Hunt.

Though I do always suspect that Alydriah is cooking something up under the surface...
