Chapter Seven Lord Arrgthas' throne room was large and completely made of ice. The walls were rough, jagged, and dented. Except for the wall behind the throne which was smooth and flat and shiny. There was a large pillar in the center that went from the floor to the ceiling. The throne was carved into the pillar facing the back wall. Now, Lord Arrgthas sat in his throne watching the what was on the wall. It was Tora, Akara, Tim, Warlic, and Queen Brittany riding on a fire dragon to Drakonnan's frozen lair. He laughed. "Time to get rid of them once and for all." Tora, Akara, Tim, Warlic, and Queen Brittany stood at the edge of the entrance to Drakonnan's lair. Even here, a volcano, was frozen completely and covered in snow. "So the Elemental Orb of Fire is in there?" Tora asked. "I'm certain of it," Warlic replied, "There's no better place to keep it; guarded by Drakonnan." "Drakonnan is in there?!" Tim sputtered. "Yes. But he had a change of heart when he had to fight alongside Jexorin to defeat me." "You fought against my father?" Tora questioned. Warlic sighed, "Yes. But that was when a part of me revealed itself that I don't ever want to happen again. You can read more about it in some of the queen's tomes." "Yes," Queen Brittany said, "that was also a great battle." "Well," Tora said, looking into the darkness of the lair, "I guess I'm going in." "I'm going with you," Akara said, standing beside him. "As am I," Tim added, standing on the other side of him. The queen and Warlic watched as the darkness engulfed the trio as they entered the lair. "Can we really trust Drakonnan to give the orb to them?" Queen Brittany asked Warlic. "Of course not," Warlic scoffed, "He was driven too mad as Xan's apprentice. You can go, my queen. But I'm not going to leave them with that madman." "With the three of them together, they can handle it." "Very well." In silence, the trio walked through the icy cave that was Drakonnan's lair. They checked every room they came upon, slowly getting closer to the most possible place the orb could be: the throne room. "Drakonnan and the orb are most likely in the throne room," Tim said "Yes," Tora said, "but we should check every other room to be sure." "I expected fiery minions," Akara said. "Me too," Tora and Tim said at the same time. It took a while, but they finally reached the door to the throne room. They stood, staring at the door for a while. "Well," Tim said, stepping back, "Heroes first." Tora gripped his sword tighter as it surged with energy. It could sense the evil behind the door. Tora lifted his blade and looked at the bright-glowing runes. Tora stepped forward, lifted his foot and kicked the door open. The room was the only place unfrozen due to the power of the Fire Orb. It was large, red a cavernous; and empty. To the right was a cliff that dropped down to a river of lava. Tora stepped in and the door swung shut behind him. He spun around. He could hear Tim and Akara yelling from the other side. He heard laughing echoing around the room. He slowly turned around but still saw no one. "SHOW YOURSELF!!!!!" Tora yelled. A blast of lave came from the lake and started after Tora. And aura came from the Kathedral Blade as Tora lifted it to deflect the lava. The aura was like a force field to better deflect the lava. The lave stopped and appeared Drakonnan with his mask on. "You are," Drakonnan said, disdainfully, "Jexorin Rast's son." "That's right," Tora replied. "That was a statement, not a question. I shall kill you." "No you won't." "WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT!!!!!!" Drakonnan blasted fire at Tora. Tora just deflected the fire with his long-coat. "Fire won't do the job," Tora laughed. Drakonnan looked up. Tora did too to see large, pointed rocks above him falling fast. He dove to the side. Drakonnan grabbed his neck and lifted him up. "You shall die like your father did," Drakonnan growled. "You killed him?"
