So I randomly thought of that. Allow factions to change name.

Yes then there would be a strain in the server and something that will give the Dev's a hard time if there's something wrong.

 I've always wanted this and wondered why it's not already available. It would be great to have instead of making a new faction and starting all over again.

yeah i kind of always wonder why we couldn't change the name.

i also dont like how we dont have an "availability" check on current faction names.
u have to come up with a name and click create faction only to not know if its taken or not.

so i support changing the name.

its a change in text, its like changing ur name but in a much smaller magnitude since there are more players than factions.

anyway, anything that improves faction is mostly likely gonna get the thumbs up from me.

If this feature puts any strain on the already mostly near-empty servers, the servers must be from like 1990

faction names have become famous.
can you without checking, tell me the leaders of ctrl death, legion of buffy, or any other well renowned faction?
also, the legion of buffy founder has been inactive for like 120 days... so how could they change theirs?
anyone whos founder is inactive is in trouble with this.
on top of that, why need to change it? you should have thought of it as a permanent setting to begin with.

its never been an issue, and i dont see the need for the implification of this feature.

how has it never been an issue?
i have a friend who almost got (i think he almost got banned or he had a temp bann i cant remember correctly right now) banned because of his faction's name, he didn't know it was against the rules, and he couldn't change it.

so yes there are issues.

and as for the renowned factions, it would be the same as the renowned players

when comicalbiker (yes he's had other names) changes his name, everyone in the game knows who he is. he's the only with like 290k wins
when E Z R A changes his name, everyone knows who he is. unless you're a newbie that doesn't know how to check the LBs.

Toopygoo: Can you list any reason as to why this shouldn't be implemented other than wanting to intentionally not give players things they should have by now?

I'd support this if every player can view the former names the faction changes into another name.

it isn't specific so I was thinking it would work like a name change. However if it does work like that was why I said if only the faction leader has to power to do this.

well for one, the cost was not stated, so did you guys imagine there would be a varium cost to change the name? like you would a character? maybe then, i guess.

the suggestion is not a bad one, im just saying there are bigger problems that should be fixed, and other ways to make the game play better, rather than looking in to provide a feature that was obviously never intended to be explored if they have not yet integrated it (because factions have been around since the beginning)

teams dont get to change names. there is no other artix game that allows clan or faction names changes and, epicduel doesnt require it either. its not about not giving players what they dont have. its about wasting the dev's time on a feature that in no way will change the way the game works, except cause further confusion for new players, and likely old players alike.

The founder wants it changed. Some members don't. Its just plain unfair to create yet another feature for founders to just do whatever they want.

I definitely like this feature being implemented instead of the Mailbox . Why? It's just darn easy yet very useful and beneficial ( especially if your current Fac name is obviously "made by kids" or not that cool ) , so thumbs up for this feature !

Besides AdventureQuest Worlds there is no other Artix Entertainment game with an in-game Faction/Clan/Guild system and AdventureQuest World's Guild system was only released some time ago.

When I was a founder even I wanted to change my faction name. Well I'm not a foumder now
