No clue if this is hard to implement, but since every person has a side, there are only 2 values to discern.

This would also help to tally up all exile/legion players and probably balance the sides numerically.

While it is a good suggestion, it won't do us any good if said Legion/exile players are all out of our battle range? I would suggest adding this but also have something that will also tell us who is within our battle range as well.

I don't even think they want us to know. It may create flame wars to say which has the most people in one alignment.

 I do see no problem, but as what mother and hulk said. It's not gonna do as much especially if the Exile or Legion are just doing something else and the lvl ranges of course...
