I was thinking of a system that would encourage players to instead of jumping on board the winning alignment to give the least popular or losing alignment a go. How you say? By adding a bonus via 10% more credits/exp and if item drops are ever implemented 10% drop rate increase. I was thinking for every 10% or more players that are on one side over another the rates for the least popular side increases by 5% e.g This system would cap at 50% increase. Drop Rate at 20%


Out of 1,000 Players

500 Are Exile No Bonuses
500 Are Legion No Bonuses

450 Are Exile 15% Exp/Credit & 10% Drop Rate increase.
550 Are Legion No Bonuses

400 Are Exile 20% Exp/Credit & 12% Drop Rate increase.
600 Are Legion No Bonuses

300 Are Exile 30% Exp/Credit & 14% Drop Rate increase.
700 Are Legion No Bonuses

200 Are Exile 40% Exp/Credit & 16% Drop Rate increase.
800 Are Legion No Bonuses

This would excite players to create characters under the lesser popular alignment in order take advantage of the bonuses while at the same time balancing the number of players on both sides. Of course to try an combat abuse I would say only level 10+ characters count as a player on 1 side.

100% Unsupported. I dont need to explain here everything. Is it good as well it is now. we dont need such an improvements. What you mean about drop rate? i dont understand you. Why Exp/Credits lol? atleast if there are less exiles , than legions , there must be more influence per win.

Anyway, even if the people support you, This is alot of hard work for the admins, mostly for the numbers on the server, and everything is just hard work. So admins probably wont add that, cause it will took like 7-14 days, even more, and the war will be already over, as well. Thanks for understanding. And huh level 10 chars count as players on one side - Exile/legion? That actually means, 1-9 lvl they cant practice the war, and they cant even join the game, cause you are forced to choice a side at 1 lvl.... so this is death for the game. Again thanks for understanding

Not supported on the EXP and Credit increases for quite a few reasons.

1 this would be a nerf to varium because we have exp and credits boosts that cost this. Giving the less popular side credit and exp boosts would put a damper into varium sales since they can passively gain boosts every time their aliment has less people.

2 this could very well cause inflation of prices since we recently gained a credit boost when tokens were removed from the game. To many free bonus with credits will cause increase credit gains to easy which can very well cause inflation of prices to match due to too many credit boosts.

Also the system as it is now doesn't encourage jumping to the winning aliment since people choose on their own. However your idea would encourage people to find the underpopulated side and choose that side for some varium benefits (since getting an EXP/Credit boost outside power hour is varium only) and is another form of bribery.

However I can support the drop rate idea however there are no items dropping in PVP battle only NPC for now.

I tried to suggest an idea before as a balancing act

to the number of players in each faction so people wouldn't need enticement like this , but alas I got no response..

Why credits/exp and not influence? Because if you were to give influence gains that would tip the scale in specific factions to have the highest influence in the game and it wouldn't be fair to have a super factions with such a boost. 10%

How can players level 1 ~ 9 not play the game or participate in the war? I didn't say they can't contribute influence or anything, I merely said the number of Exiles / Legions would not be counted for characters under the level of 1 ~ 9. Why? Because that could cause players to mass multi account and create thousands of characters for their rival alignment to give their side boost AKA ( to prevent massive abuse )

This wouldn't nerf Varium in the least, like during x2 periods you can simply stack them up for a even bigger pay out. How? Here's a example

36 Credits + 100 % ( varium item ) = 72 credits + 15% = 82 credits.
36 Credits + 15% = 41 credits

As you can see this wouldn't drop the effect of varium in the least. 50% increase is a extreme case, I would say at the very most there would be 20% more Exiles than Legion and vice versa. If players were to suddenly flock to the boosted side the effect would decrease to 10%. If such a thing event persist than it would be under 10% and the effect will subside.

I'm not really following both of your concerns honestly.

@valk Mother is saying that giving extra credits and varium outside of power hour hurts varium sales. How? Because to get extra exp you need to spend varium for it, same as credits but those are even worse to hand out. If one side gets more credits then they'll be able to buy items faster and don't feel like buying varium to buy the items

Hmm, I'm not convinced but there must be something I'm not understanding. 10% is such a small amount as opposed to varium's 100% and if people were to use the system in their favor all their doing is balancing out the numbers which would quickly remove and bonuses.

It seems I've been overruled so I'll say no more.

10% would become 20% during PowerHour too, which just adds kindle to the fire.

Edit just in case: By 20% I mean twice as much not literally a 20% bonus.

Not supported.
If there were more alignments I would support; but there is only 2 alignments while people prefer to go on one side which is exile. If only there was something unique to stop people to go into exile just because of the achievements....

No bonuses at all. Everything should be done from scratch. I mean, if you're in a war, you don't get bonuses for losing...lol.

You know how you get an adrenaline rush when you feel danger coming? An also how you start " tryharding" when you are failing in anything)?

Maybe it could be like bonus influence. Like maybe 2 extra :P
