For design purposes, why not? Artillery Strike got a remake.

It would be nice to have some sort of Cyberpunk theme like Plasma Cannon

 Supported because it does look kind of... I don't know, dieselpunk where ED is a high-tech themed game?

I kind of like it... It looks like a piece of gear that is detachable, allowing the merc to carry it around with ease. Maybe a bit of a buff, but keeping most of the original design in mind.

 To me, the normal bunker buster animation is too nostalgic to change a lot. A bit of a new paint job I wouldn't mind, but I oppose changing the animation entirely.
