It's that time again! Time for family, giving thanks, and, of course, battling to save the world! We've crammed so much into this release that we'll need to hold off on releasing today (Friday) and instead release next Tuesday! Sorry for the inconvenience, but we're sure this update will be worth it. New bots, weapons, missions, achievements, an incredible boss fight, and a new item bank system! There should be something for everyone in this latest harvest release!


Darkness Rises

The evil Chairman Platinum was defeated by the combined efforts of Delta V's warriors and Elon Musk, but while his EbilCorp Factory was active, it stirred something terrible in the depths of Delta V's cavernous interior.

This mysterious region of Delta V is known as the Black Abyss. Years after the initial colonization of Delta V, Baelius' scientists concluded that there was nothing of value in this region so it was sealed off from all mining and exploration operations. At least, that was the official story. Once again, Legion and Exile forces are threatened by this fearsome new enemy. If it is not defeated, this may be the last Harvest Festival for the citizens of Delta V. Fortunately, new technology has emerged to help you prepare for the trials ahead!


Into the Black Abyss

The dark substance that emerged from the Ebilcorp Factory site was unlike anything Delta V scientists have ever seen. Like most new discoveries, however, it was quickly adopted for the manufacturing of new weapons! The Black Abyss Battlegear will be available in physical and energy flavors from an NPC near the current site of the Wasteland's SolarWorld Factory.


Again, the Black Abyss Battlegear will be available in-game with a new, locked, active core. We'll post more about that as we finalize details.

We are also restocking Rabblefroth with the seasonal Thanksgiving rares. Be sure to stop by and check them out if you missed them last year!

In addition to new weapons, we will be introducing an exclusive new Varium package that will include 2 new bots, the Black Abyss Bots! In addition to dealing a devastating slash attack, it is also capable to unleashing powerful secondary skill. Again, we will post more details as they become finalized.



Mighty Missions

An epic-sized release wouldn't be complete without new missions, and new missions wouldn't be complete without new achievements! Collect the new seasonal-rare Turkey Terminator achievement from any VendBot. It will only be available for a limited time so get it while you can. Also, the Hallowarrior Achievement will be leaving to make room for this new achievement, so if you haven't picked it up yet, now's your last chance!

New Achievements will also be available for completing the new mission chain related to the anomaly in the Black Abyss. One does not just walk into the cavernous depths of Delta V so level up and perfect your builds for one of the greatest challenges yet!


Bank Access Bots

This release introduces the new BankBot system, more accurately described as a Bank Access Bot. Once the release is live, you will be able to load inventory items into a centralized "bank." This bank can be accessed from any BABot you have on one of your homes. To make access as easy as possible, we are gifting all players one free Basic BABot with 20 bank slots. This feature introduces a lot of changes to the current inventory system so I will list them as clearly as possible:

  • Everyone will get a FREE Basic Bank Access Bot with 20 slots
  • Addtional BABots can be purchased from your home item inventory. They will not provide additional slots, but they will allow you to access your bank from any home in which they are placed. Plus, they look way cool
  • Normal Inventory slots will be capped to 100 slots. If you have slots above 100, you will keep them
  • New players will start with 20 normal inventory slots and 20 bank slots
  • Players can buy more bank slots just like they can buy inventory slots
  • 10 slot / 495 Varium (same price as normal inventory slots)
  • Mission items WILL begin counting toward your inventory limit. This is for clarity and to discourage players from hoarding a million of the same item, bogging down the database
  • If you exceed the inventory limit as a result of these changes you will not lose items
  • In a future release, we will allow players to tag items with custom labels so they can easily be found, ex: "Beta Build", "My Alpha Gear", "Defeat Titan Set"

I am curious to what these bank bots entail :) Also the bots look cool. I wonder the damage level and the special.

Like I said in the previous (not to mentioned rushed) thread, a delayed release wasn't exactly a shocker! Nevertheless I am looking forward to this update so much, bank access bots, cores, achievements, what's not to like?

I know. I tried playing it and thanks to a lot of the balance changes they made the opponents just keep slaughtering the jugs at higher levels.

With them decreasing the samage rate .. it also made juggernaut a lot more difficult. On average people hit 40-50% daily at higher levels. Its almost impossible.

No fix to static grenade ? ok that's another week of retirement for my 36 and all none BH toons.

2nd point

do not make the juggernaut mode free wins for the juggernauts again remember why you changed it begin with people were just quitting the game when they hit the wall (no new players no game.)

Going to be buying all the thanksgiving weapons and new weapons. Looking forward to this.

I'm glad I got to 180 slots 2 weeks ago.

I;m not even level 36 yet. There's no way I want 27 already.

Juggernaut needs to be fixed at the level cap, but it needs to be made harder at lower levels or the requirement needs to be raised (e.g to level 25).

Since a lot of balance changes have been made, I'm hoping to see level 37 soon.

They never changed juggernaut mode omega was what changed juggernaut mode. If omega never happened jugs at high levels would still be slaughtering their opponents unless the jugs actually met up against 2 varium players.

But as for now Juggernaut mode is still free wins for the jugs just not at higher levels. At the lower levels I am seeing jugs having 80-90% win rates due to them being able to challenge opponents as low as level 10 (if they are at level 20) Most players at that level aren't armed with cores and gear, or have garbage builds and have no clue how to fight jugs. Because of this the Jugs are free to make punching bags out of their opponents at low levels.

However, at the higher levels it is a complete 180. You can get 2 opponents that you would normally face in 2 vs 2 if the gap is 6 levels for the opponents which is extremely unbalanced for the jug as well. While I agree with you juggernaut shouldn't be free wins for the jug, it is just that at lower levels while almost impossible at higher levels. Most players after level 24-26 don't see juggernauts anymore due to this.

I'm not too upset about the delayed content. What really irks me, and I'm sure many others feel the same way, is that we have to continue losing to the 98.5% win rate of Bounty Hunters equipped with their little OP static grenade.

For that, I will continue my absence from the game until Tuesday/Wednesday.

I changed to BH to see what it was like, and personally I still prefer TM over the class. Even with a good build most of the builds I could win against as a TM I tend to have trouble with as a BH and visa versa.

Essentially our options as non-BH/TM are quite limited. I really don't want to change class just for a better win ratio for 3 days. The game has left us with no choice. Oy vey.

The only thing that concerns me is the balance of said new gear.


For the robot it would be nice to see something utility based for the secondary skill rather then bonus power alone (that merely harms balance)

Like wise for the cores.
Plus if their is a azreal core disaster again that would also be bad, I recommend you telling the players their robot/core ideas before releasing them.


I don't wanna sound to negative but I do wanna raise the issue that some players only concern in the game is balance.
Bringing new weapons constantly is fine, but do not rush the core/robot special effect just for the sack of releasing a robot /core I hope you guys have proper balance improving ideas for this gear or I will be disapointed.

On a lighter note,
This has potential to be a great release good job.
Sorry if I come off to strong but I feel my opinion must be brought forward.


Also one last thing, if mission items are to take up space now it would be convenient if we could delete said items from our inventory.

This totally gonna be unfair to the players who bought 200 inventory and now will lose 100 inventory and has to again buy more inventory from bank... WOW. So just awesome and fair. They should they give free bank space to players above 100 inventory space. It's actually not free, to be precious. It's called "transferring" your left over inventory space into bank space, because you "paid" for it!!

I got 130 inventory space, then my 30 slots will be transferred to my bank space. Which will make total 50 bank space for me now. I just hope Dev's will be at least little thought giving on this issue.

How about balance? I don't care of cheevos anymore. They were indeed my momentum to keep playing, yet now what I want is better balance so that I can log out after more than 5 mins playing.

ANYWAYS:

Cant wait for bank bot and new bot/weps it should be a pretty good release overall but i hope some balance will be implemented as well to counteract the BH Static Grande atm. Maybe make a cap on it or make it like 40% instead of 50% or something like that. Just a little tweak should make it okay, doesnt need complete overhaul.

Also, new missions and cheevos make me happy to see :) give us something cool to do for great rewards

the problem with this is that it seems that you can't buy any new weapons until you first buy additional bank slots at 10 for 495 varium

If you have 150 slots:

you keep all 150 as inventory slots
you get a free BABot with 20 bank slots
you can now move 20 of your inventory items to the bank

you now have 130 items in your inventory and the limit is 100
you need to buy at least 31 more bank slots in order to make room in your inventory to buy a new item or in order to do a mission
this now costs you 495 x4= 1980 varium

Uh. Not really. If you have 150 Inventory Slots now, you keep it. So if you sell 50 items (and have full inventory), you will end up with 100/150. Difference is, you can no longer buy Inventory Slots, therefore, you will have 150 Inventory Slots and cannot get to 200 Slots - as you can now. Those who expand their Inventory Slots after the update, will have cap of 100 Inventory Slots.
This does NOT affect players who have purchased Inventory Slots beyond the limit prior to the release, i.e. now.

After the change, you will keep the Inventory Slots you have, say 150, and get 20 Bank Slots on top of it, so, in other words, you will have total of 170 slots - 150 Inventory and 20 Bank.

Does this make it more clear for you, MirageD?

@MirageD, Not sure if I understood you right, but if the player has 150 Inventory Slots, they get to keep them all. It doesn't automatically go down to 100 if you bought more. Say you have 130 items and 150 inventory slots, you will still have 20 slots availible.
