Probably not the most popular suggestion, but what if class change was varium only? Too many players instantly change to the most OP class, thus earning a lot of credits to do the same thing later on. Once balance changes are out or the class gets nerfed, they jump onto the next OP class because they can afford it with credits. Varium is useless as it is, making class change exlusive to varium players would both get rid of class-jumpers and make varium more valuable.

no, varium is only a shortcut , there is always a long way either by time or work.

50k credit needs 2-3 weeks of playing so it's fine.
ppl who change to strong classes are already varium users so this changes nothing.
also changing to strong classes is because of them so not every other class should get locked because of that.
also instead of removing the change to strong classes i think we should focus more on balancing instead of restricting the game.

also for such a thing to be done the other 3 classes must be startable with orelse that was the main reason it costed credits.
and the game currently isn't ready for that.

NOT supported,

Class hoping should be fixed by fixing balance.

plus I am so sick of varium players thinking that they deserve a battle advanatge.

@DarkDevil, You can easily earn 10 k credits in a day by using a good build, I've done so with my alt. Varium is a shortcut to some things, yes, but there are still things in the game that can only be purchased with varium. This includes promotional items (in a way), hairstyles, bikes (? Not sure lol), so why not class change? And you're right, the 3 other classes would be exlusive to varium which no one would want. Could easily fix this somehow, though.

@Remorse, Changing class isn't an advantage in battle though, you should be able to compete with your own class alone, and it shouldn't be necessary to change your class every week.

Not supported as this would heavy affect game play.

Not to mention punish anyone who wants to class change that isn't jumping to a supercharged class.

Pitty that this is not the case.

Why punish non variums for the devs inability to keep classes balanced.

And another thing 50,000 credits is a lot, if anything at least 90% of class hoping to the op classes is done through varium.

Perhaps the better idea would be to make class change credit only if your intention is to stop class hopers however then the devs would make no money but considering the majority is done through varium making it varium only will not change much at all.

Need more convincing?
Or do you just secretly want another advantage of non variums?

no , the main reason is because of the servers.
other classes are not balanced for low levels.
also this means at least 3000 character will be created when that happens.

if you are going to balance all classes for low levels and buy enough servers to hold the game one peice then go ahead.
untill the game is ready it can't be done.

also promotion items are shortcut , they will come back for credits , which is called time shortcut.

Class changing should only be available ONCE per month. If you want to change two times in a month, the 2nd change must cost 75,000 credits or 1200 variums.
This is the best solution.

Factors that affect PvP will have Varium and Credit option, this was said by the Devs before. Something that doesn't affect PvP, such as name change, will remain a Varium perk. There's nothing to discuss about it, since it'd only give Varium players an advantage, only because they throw some money out for Varium. Imbalance per se.

Time limit is something that can easily be done though, and doesn't cripple anyone but class jumpers, and that's something which harms balance (jumpers) when it comes to major balance changes, and class' power shifts greatly at once. Examples: Omega release (Str & Support abuse), passives change (Casters) + currently BHs due to Static Grenade, etc.
I wouldn't say scaled cost would do the job - for multiple changes - but give a fixed amount of class changes per month, such as once a month. Think before you change, and suffer the consequences if you switched for power.

@Remorse, Well yeah you're assuming it's done with varium I just had the imperssion most class-jumpers have big amounts of credits, seeing as they win so much. I could be wrong though.

And of course I want varium to be more valuable than it currently is! My intention was however not to suggest a change that would somehow affect the game in a bad way. Although how much of an "advantage" class changing really is.. can be discussed.

@Pemberton, That sounds like a good idea! If there's any way to prevent people from class-jumping so much, I'm all for it.

Regardless, any feature that affects PvP (and was Varium-only before) will have Credit option. It'd be unfair otherwise and give Varium a massive edge again, and not every Varium player uses Varium to change classes either - some have too many Credits, so hey!

Time-locking is best solution for class jumpers. We know it is possible, since Alignment change already has a lock to prevent abuse, so the code should be do-able for class change as well. It was suggested in the past too, but we didn't know whether it was possible to code at the time.

not supported: while i've never done it and only changed once with 50k credits, class-hopping should not be controlled, you can't tell people who've earned their credits or varium (even if they payed for it they earned it through payment) how they should use it just because of certain balance issues, that's not a valid reason at all

If you want to limit class hopping, taking out the varium option would be more logical.

But either way, I don't think we should punish one group of players just because some decide to switch to easy-mode classes.

The only problem with limiting class hopping is Devs will lose their main source of varium spending...

as you said, not a popular topic, and as expected I do not support this
