EDIT:


The old cap of the skill (150 max energy)

Is still in place making the skill EXTREMELY weak.

Needs to be changed asap!


Preferably in a quick update today....

Surely they can't make blood mage people play a broken flawed class for a week without some sort of compensation to change class..

Energy parasite in general is a very weak skill on Blood Mage right now. I've been playing Blood Mage for the last couple of weeks, and the only builds that have worked for me have been ones that don't involve energy parasite, simply because all the other classes have skills that 'outclass' it, and therefore investing in it has no real value.

Easy fix? Increase the damage when applying the effect and/or base the percentage on your enemies maximum energy instead of their current energy.

I would prefer if the initial damage wasn't using a strike as well,

I mean they already have intim and blood mark requiring strikes making the parasite have it as well almost forces them to invest in STR.

Thank you, need more voices on just how incredibly useless this skill is, almost no BMs use it. I tried and tried and could not find a way to effectively use it. When I take energy, they use it up before turn 2, when I take energy, they take it back 2fold.

Simple, if everyone remembered the last update about Energy Parasite it was when they capped its drain when the opponent has more than 150 energy so if you have 600+ energy, it drains mana like the enemy has 150 energy which I believe......the devs forgot to look over again. Might as well remove this 150 energy cap since everyone has x10 stats.

^ Oh wow that explains so much,


I thought it was just broken when I was versing a boss I now realize that the whole skill is bugged now capped at a now low 150 energy...

I like this idea! Since the skill has a support requirement, maybe have the aux apply it? Have an animation where the aux launches a little glowing blue worm? That would be legen (wait for it) DARY!

perhaps make it like 50% aux damage,

But then not actually put aux in cool down since it is only 50% damage.


Or make it 100% aux damage, put it in cool down, and require aux to be off cool down to use?

The real question is if the devs are even going to listen. Bm is sooo useless right now. I can't believe they didn't make any balance changes(other than increasing everything by 10 which isn't a balance change imo)and they have unlocked level 40. Someone that is a bloodmage cannot even compete. I have used over 5k credits in a few hourse trying to find a build that will work, and none work. They should fix that cap on parasite AND buff it asap, so bm can actually compete for legendary. This is the first day of my winter break. I was going to spend it played ED except bm suks, and I don't look forward to ruining my 1v1%, and I have no credits to change. Now I will probably leave this game till they fix this broken class....

Man this is sad... I love BloodMage, I've been it since it got released and experimented with all sorts of builds.
Now, I can not win ANYTHING. Also Mark my words, they will let us Wait a week before they fix the already Weak broken BloodMage.
If this Update has done anything usefull, it's magnify the problems that it has.

My effort of doing a few battles a month has dropped a lot lower now with this bs.

Sigh, 1v1 is totally unplayable for me as a bm... can't believe not one tester noticed that energy parasite is not draining correctly...

Devs we're already releasing hotfixes for 3 hours so why not one more; seriously this is a gamebreaker.

There is 1 build you can use to win (that I have found), I've been using it for about a week and a half with great results, and without changing anything.


HINT: Para is pretty useless anyway, don't use it. USE YOUR WEE PAN m0n.


But yeah, BM as an overall class is fairly weak, although so are all of the others. They all have like 1 build that works (if that).

I feel like the Devs probably forgot about that 150 energy cap. I believe it was originally made for bosses, partially because it was a huge waste of energy and actually benefit BMs to cap it at that to conserve the boss's energy for future drains.

They need to completely take it away for make the cap 1500, I was going to post this the day it was released. (i was a bloodmage with energy parasite as my main skill).

Now I'm cyber and I never got around to it.

Strange that lots of people saying BM is weak compared to other classes. I seem to be winning most of the time thanks to the change and only lost to Hatchling rush players.

The class in general isn't weak, it need tweaks.
Intimidate has been the weakest of the Debuffs in general.
Having Shields make it less usefull aswell.
FireBall is a joke, when have you seen a BloodMage post FireBall Nerf actualy use it?
SuperCharge is also counterproductive seeing it conflicts with BloodMark or whatever it's called. Not to mention I'm sure they said somewhere we'd be getting a new Super skill ages ago.
And Last but not least, 3/4 of my losses are due to not being able to counter energy drains, NOT having 1 while every other class has makes it practicly impossible to compete unless you use a class that doesn't use it, probably like Str build or something.

Reflex Boost lost its energy regain abilities, now its near useless cause when used, your opponent drains your energy thereafter. Since strength scales slower than tech and dex having the intimidate reduction values the same as malfunction and smoke makes it weaker. This is especially true since it's very easy to work around primary and sidearm but not easy to work around losing tech/dex which ultimately makes everything more powerful. Supercharge is the most pathetic skill that blood mage has since they have the weakest energy control of all classes thanks tot he removal of energy regain on reflex boost. Synergy is all over the place on bounty. If you go dex focus build, you have the choice between overlord and plasma rain, that's it. Tech, plasma cannon and supercharge(crappy bm skill), str firebolt(crappy skill) and bludgeon and all the buffs+energy regain are support? Terrible synergy
