Act 3; Old Time Tales. On the other side of the bridge of ice an old man with gray robes, a long white beard and is holding a large Chronostaff with a clock on the tip, stands in the snow. Old Man: Took your sweet time, huh? I was wondering when you where going to get here, <Character>. I've been waiting 3 hours, 28 minutes and 51 seconds <Character>: !!! Are you Father Time? Old Man: Grandfather Time, actually. I embody the experience and knowledge of a life long-lived. I'm sure you already know Father Time's representment. <Character>: Mind if I just call you Grand Time? Grandfather Time: Whatever you please. <Character>: Cool. So, what are you doing here for, Grand Time? Grandfather Time: To help you understand whats going on a little better before I go back to my realm. <Character>: The Cultists' made a tear in your realm when they summoned Croft during the Frostval season right? Grandfather Time: Yes. Our realm and your Lore were tethered together, yet kept separate through a seal adrift in the seas of the Void. However do to the pressure caused by great magical activity in the Void, as well as, the Elemental Dissonance. The seal was strained; The mixing of Mogloween magic and Frostval magic cracked it and tore a small rift someway in the Void. <Character>: If the Tear is in the Void why aren't you all there instead? Grandfather Time: Because, <Character>, we aren't like people. We can chose where we want to manifest ourselves. However most will chose to appear where their element is strongest at. Nine Embodiments have escaped through the tear, including myself. The other eight are The Embodiment of Doom, The Embodiment of Destiny, The Embodiment of Frostval, The Embodiment of Mogloween, The Embodiment of Techno-Turkey Day, The Embodiment of Rivalry, The Embodiment of Freewill and lastly, The Embodiment of Order. All powerful Embodiments in our realm right now. <Character>: So couldn't you have tried and stopped them, since you've one on the Embodiments that escaped as well? Grandfather Time: Unfortunately No. I do not possess nearly the same amount of strength as the other eight Embodiments. <Character>: Then how did you get out? I thought only the strongest of the Embodiments were able to get through to Lore. Grandfather Time : Not all of the strongest left our realm, otherwise things would be a lot worst off. Grandfather Time smiles. Grandfather Time: As for this old man; I still have a trick or two up my sleeves. <Character>: Where will I find the other seven Embodiments? Grandfather Time: Seven? So it seems Yule has found you already then? Where to find the others I can not say. I can however try and point you in the right direction. As I said before, The Embodiments are likely to appear where they element holds the most weight in this world. Rivalry's element is fire, Freewill's is water, Order is stone, Techno-Turkey's is earth and energy and Mogloween's is darkness and fire. Doom and Destiny's are evil and good respectfully and can appear almost anywhere in the world; Doom and Destiny always appear together, however, and are always fighting one another. Also, to note, Frostval's element is ice and wind. <Character> Thanks, Grand Time. Are you going back now that you've spoken to me? Grandfather Time: No, I believe that you'll still be in need of my help sooner or later. Be wary, <Character>, most of the Embodiments wouldn't cause problems for you, right away but Zelenia, the Embodiment of Mogloween, is displeased with the recent trend in villains using her and her sister's holidays to cause misfortune instead of mischief and happiness, respectfully of course. Be careful if you run into her <Character>. I doubt she'll take kindly of you trying to stop her revenge. With his advice given to the Hero, Grandfather Time fades from view. Leaving the Hero by themselves in the snow. The Hero running back to Yule, waiting on the other side of the bridge for them. Yule: So did you mean with Grandfather Time!? <Character>: You knew who it was? Yule smiles widely. Yule: Hehe, Yup! Us Embodiments always know when another is around. Thats why I offered to help, <Character>, you silly! <Character>: Of course, silly me. Well, we gotta go stop your sister from making a mess of things so next stop Doomwood, lead the way. Yule: Roger that! Act 4; Enemies Or ....No, Just Enemies. Yule and the Hero are passing through Surewould Forest when they hear the sound of fighting. Coming to a bandit camp, the two could see the source of the commotion. Two different camps on either side of the trail were fighting eachother. Yule : This has to be Kyprioth's work, he's the Embodiment of Rivalry, after all! I can sense that he's near; Let's go find him! <Character>: In that? Maybe you should wait here for me. Yule: Don't worry about me <Character>. Embodiments can't be killed! We can only die if everybody forgets about the thing we represent. Even if one person still remembers, we'll still live. Yule runs off into the fray of fighting bandits, with the Hero chasing behind her. Yule and the Hero fight off bandits until Yule is able to lead them both to a small clearing with a boulder in the middle. On the boulder sits a young boy who is slightly older in appearance then Yule. He has light tan skin, blue eyes, blond hair and a wheat grain sticking out from his mouth. He wore brown pants, a belt , a red short-sleeved shirt and boots. The boy cheesely smiled as the two approached him. Yule: Kyprioth! What are you doing here? Kyprioth: Being bored. That is until you two showed up; Maybe you can make it a little more funnier around here for me? <Character>: What? Kyprioth: This part of Lore is surprising boring. I got these two groups of bandits to fight over who should be in charge of the toll, they both made, so easily. It wasn't even fun. But now that my own rival is here thing just got interesting again! Yule and <Character>: Who's that? Kyprioth frowns at the given answer. Kyprioth: You, of course, Yule. Your ice, I'm fire. Your good and I'm not. We're born rivals! Yule: Err...I'm ice and wind actually. Kyprioth: Your also a smart aleck. <Character>: Look Kyprioth, either your going back home and stop messing with Lore. Or Yule and I can send you back. Kyprioth laughs and gets off the rock creating fireballs in his hands. Kyprioth: Haha, Let's see you try! Yule and the Hero fights a tough battle with Kyprioth, who's manipulation over fire made him extremely dangerous. Kyprioth was eventually defeated, and with his energies dispersed, he could no long manifest on Lore and was sent back to his realm. Yule is winded after the fight and takes deep breathes to recover. <Character>: Are you ok, Yule? Yule: Remember how I said Embodiments can't die? <Character>: Yeah? Yule: Well, we can use up all our energy and disappear for a time. In our physical forms we're vulnerable to attacks and physical needs. While we're in our own realm, we don't have bodies and are invulnerable to all those things, plus I can stay up as long as I want and not get tried! But we can't mess with anything Physical in this world. Even on our own holidays. But, The tear changed that, and now we can take on our physical forms on Lore. <Character>: Let's rest before we move on. Yule stands up straight and grins wide. Yule: Don't worry I'm ok! We may have physical limitations in these forms, but us Embodiments still recover faster then humans! Yule runs off to continue the search for her sister. <Character> : Well thats great to know. The Hero runs after Yule as they continue out of Surewould Forest and on to Doomwood.
