This is a very petty suggestion, but could be helpful if a player doesn't pay attention to details or is simply multi-tasking.

On the passives bar - under your HP/EP - you can see all your passive cores, as well as buffs and debuffs. So, how about including a bit more detail? Namely the duration left and the effect. Something like this:

quote:

Smoke Screen
Strike and reduce the Dexterity of an enemy for 3 turns
Duration left: n turns Effect: -32 Dexterity

It is pretty basic, but helpful since you can avoid checking your stats during the battle and having too little time to make a decision. Likewise with your opponents - just check their build at the beginning of the battle and memorise the weaknesses. Then you can sit back and look at their passives bar, instead of having to check their stats again and possibly lose too much time on it. (lag can also play a role here)

Say, Hatchling Rush core would display duration & its effect would be "-50% heal effectiveness", and Azrael's Will could also display the duration (to see whether you've already striked or not; link to multi-tasking and not paying attention) and its effect would be "Forced Strike". Simple and helpful! :D

Supported for the exact effects, but not if you're trying to show N turns remaining left. I'd like to think that people who pay attention and are skilled enough should pay attention to how many turns are left in an effect, then exploit that hole in which the effect is no longer in play to gain an edge in the fight. It would be harder to help more skilled players win more often if you show exactly how many turns are left during a buff/debuff/effect.

Not everyone is skilled though, especially lower level players. Purely for sake of simplicity and helping some players to time their skills - like you've said, a skilled player could time it and gain an advantage, but so could newer players, which could aid you in battle, instead of players not paying attention or simply not being too experienced.

It could help newer players to play their cards wisely, whilst experienced would remain as they are. If you look at 2v2, having a decent partner (read: experienced) is better than having an unexperienced player not knowing what to do and resulting in a loss. :p

But I do see where you're coming from with this.
