 Hello everyone! Now that the Fifth forum tournament has concluded, I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone that participated! It's been great to do this together with you guys, as a community, and we definitely want to have more tournaments in the future!

But before we get to the part where we ask you all for your inputs, let's take a look at that Hall of Fame!

Alright, if you participated in the tournament, or just watched as it progressed, please comment and give us your feedback! General comments are fine, but please try to be as constructive as possible, to help us continue to develop our protocols and run the tournaments more smoothly in the future!

What did you like the most about this tournament?

What did you not like as much about this tournament?

What did you think of the double-elimination style bracket? Good? Bad? Confusing?

What did you think of the time limit for the duels?

Is there anything you would change about the tournament setup?

  • What is it?
    Constructive criticism is being able to process and offer your own thoughts and opinions in order to give courteous and friendly feedback. This is done by explaining what you like and dislike, while at the same time providing feedback that is useful. This is what separates constructive feedback from ranting/complaining and flaming.

  • Does it help? How?
    Yes! Constructive criticism helps because not only are you giving feedback about what you don't like about a quest/event, but you're also giving feedback about what you DID like in the quest. Feedback could include on such topics as statistics, more dialogue, more explanatory cutscenes, more fights - everything that quests or events would normally include. This gives the staff a better idea on future improvements.

  • Example of Constructive Criticism:
    "I didn't particularly like this war because it felt too empty. To have made it better, I think the staff could have had a 50% cutscene to unlock rather than just a shop to progress the storyline. As it was, I personally was a little disappointed that this war felt more rushed than previous wars, however I do understand that the staff had a lot on their plate when making this release. That said, I greatly enjoyed the boss fight, the animations and art fit perfectly with the song that was playing in the background. So while not one of the best wars DF have done, I still enjoyed it. Thank you, DF staff!"

  • Example of Unconstructive Criticism:
    "I didn't like this war at all. What were the staff thinking? The items in the shop were ugly, overpriced and were bugged!! No cutscene? That was never done before and it is not how it should be done ever. Seriously, doesn't the staff ever listen to us?! The boss fight was too hard and took forever to beat :( And there was no sound. I dont think the staff even care anymore. Best war ever /sarcasm I hate this game D:<!"

    		How about 3 days instead of 2 day time limits?

    Easier way to confirm contact was made between both players.

    Not really, much to complain about now tournament went pretty fast lack off crazy wait times before disqualifying people.

    Just ban dual elemental characters and it should be cool.


    How about a champion tournament once all the elemental tournaments are over for only the 1st and 2nd place winners?

    for example,veteran tournament,or master tournament

    or maybe starter character tourney?

    		we have to do the element tournaments first then we all agreed to do theme tournaments after that several tournaments back so light nuetral and dual tournament are all next then we start voting on which ones we should do next.

    		I think this tournament ran a LOT more smoothly than the previous ones, but that might just be because this is the tournament of characters that are designed to utterly destroy their enemies as quickly as possible. The new rules probably contributed to the speed of it too. Quite enjoyable as my first tournament, despite losing twice in a row. . That was humiliating.

    Three days would be going too far. It shouldn't take a participant more than two days to login to the forums and keep in touch with his/her opponent. Of course, if there are issues with someone's activity and I'm informed, I wouldn't mind delaying a match for 4-5 days.

    This seems like a very good idea! However I'd like to wait until the Neutral/Light Tournaments are finished until we start taking suggestions for future ones.

    Most of the sign ups are done in the first few days (with the exception of a few last minute participants). Two weeks would delay the tournament unnecessarily. Normally, the sign up period is a little more than a week (about 9-10 days), so I think that's enough for now.

    		More people are in school now making it harder to log into OS during the time limits for example serveral players wanted to take part in the lightning tournament but just didn't have the time to sign up.

    		Yep but can't happen till we finish the element tournament and it seems like we are gonna have to wait till after the CC starts over after the next rotation for that .

    I just got this idea for a tournament layout how about no using of the same character more than once if you duel one character with mana for example you would have to use another character the next round then the same after that?

    		 Not necessarily; just a few characters that use it. I'm under the impression that characters like Sentry Lord (use Greater Heal, but are not very overpowered) are okay in the tournament, but I can't be for sure until I test it out. Been a bit busy, so my Pikeman is only level 17 at the moment.

    As of now, those off the list are: Queen Aegea, Seraphim, and Founder Champion.
    In testing: Sentry Lord, Omni Knight, and Templar.
    Allowed: Father Time.

    		I thought the only reason some of them got banned was cause of having greater heal in there decks? What about bavaria master is she banned her deck is better than the master version of queen?

    @blackshock I think they said nuetral.

    		 Omni knight has 2x greater heals, require's cc to test out though i would assume due to his multiple transfer cards , interested to see the result's from the testing on him.

    		In that case, glad I had pumpkinlord leveled to 20. XD Such a shame he isn't actually all that competitive compared to most of the newer neutrals
