 dont know what formula is used for 1v1 or2v2 battles,but you need to rethink it because its getting bad when you face a player 4 levels higher than you.How do you expect the lower players to compete with them.

Well, I can beat level 36 players, and I'm level 32.

Also, the range is so wide because the playerbase can't support smaller ranges. If they lowered it, it would take much longer to find a battle, and people would quit because of the wait times. It's happened before. Anyways, with a little luck (By which I mean RNG, because luck doesn't exist in video games) and skillful playing, you can take down a player 4 levels higher than you.
It used to be a 5 Level range, so be happy it's better now.

What range would you suggest?

This is what happens when the player pool is extremely low sadly. The engine try to fill matches with who is avalible. Not to mention there is a legion vs exile filter which puts what side you are on over levels so there is that as well.

Also believe it or not thanks to the staff changing the matchmaking for level 40's due to the legendary ranks More players who are within their range are now NPC fighting to try and catch up. This cuts from the player pool even more.

If you were to suggesting just cutting the pool on it's own without a way to handle the wait times I can't support it.
