Any genre. Any style. Share what music you're blasting!

^Those guys at the end really went at it lol.

Lots of metal so only appropriate to post the type I like most: Eilera - Precious Moment (symphonic metal)

Also, genre-chaining from metal to synth rock: Dance With the Dead - Tilt World (Synthwave)

However not gonna lie lately I've been mostly listening to some electronic variants that I don't even know the name of. Porter Robinson & Madeon - Beings x Divinity (Ganther mashup)

Lots of Led Zeppelin that I've been catching on to as well.

So far D'Yer Maker, Over the Hills and Far Away, and Achilles' Last Stand are my favorites from them as well.

(Hopefully the double post isn't too much of a rule breaker, but it is a music thread...)

pretty good soft rock.

Space Invader by Ace Frehley is also another good one

I'm always looking for new music that I enjoy so I don't feel old. Once I become one of those guys who's like "Music was so much better when people actually used guitars and sang" I give all of you permission for one free slap in the face. It's fine to have different tastes in styles and genres, but dismissing anything new is the first sign of becoming outdated an irrelevant. Stay Young. Stay Relevant. Stay in the Conversation.

That said here's some stuff I've been enjoying lately.

Jacob Collier - Once You (Jazz Fusion?)

in love with a ghost - i was feeling down, then i found a nice witch and now we're best friends (lo-fi hip hop synthwave)

Kero Kero Bonito - Swimming (Indie pop)

Nothing like some old school hip hop.

Then of course some of the good old obligatory rock.

one of the very rare moments country is actually decent.

Been into... what do you call it, "math rock"? lately. Polyphia - James Franco (just listen to that sweet riff at 2:20...)
Alternatively, Polyphia - Saucy (the juicy bass line!!)

Also some more electronic with Mat Zo - See It When I Believe It

@Xplayer
Woah it's ILWAG, always nice to listen to them. Is it synthwave though? xD

@Noon
Speaking of country and finding things actually decent... I remember finding this Taylor Swift song on an anime video and really liking it despite not really enjoying most of her works.
Taylor Swift - Safe and Sound

Little bit of motivation. Seems like some people need it these days, that is.

@fabri17: I don't even know what ILWAG would call their own music genre so I just slapped the closest label I could think of. I know they don't like it being called "lo fi" though.

More modern stuff

Sungazer - ELECTRO

bill wurtz - Mount St. Helens is about to blow up

Knower - Cry Tomorrow Laugh Today

And for those who believe music died in 1990 (/s)

Charlie Parker - Bird of Paradise (1967)

Billy Joel - Root Beer Rag

Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing

I see your Sungazer weirdness and I raise you my Zebbler Encanti Experience - Get Psychic

A while back I found a music streamer (thanks to a shoutout by Shroud) and been following her since. I'm not a lyrics type of guy, but she has a really nice voice...
ResurrectionFern - House of the Rising Sun (cover)

Citypop has been my jam

That moment when you stop listening to lofi and vaporwave just to find that the source material is amazing.

Oh goodness, the... tone, I suppose, kinda reminded me of Nujabes, a little bit.

The GOAT hip hop song tri hexalogy, Nujabes - Luv(sic) ft. Shing02 (compilation of 6 parts)

And the greatest remix/homage Nujabes - Luv(sic) Part 6 - Uyama Hiroto remix ft. Shing02
(background: Nujabes tragically died in an accident before releasing the final part, and Uyama Hiroto is kinda the spiritual successor in sound)

Luv-Sic is a great album, very emotional
Cool to see people posting Citypop. You guys might like some of the J Funk that's been sampled by a few vaporwave/future funk artists

Jadoes - Cool
Kaoru Akimoto - Dress Down

Some jazz that's been sampled by other producers
Lonnie Liston Smith - Summer Nights
Lonnie Smith - It's Changed (different Lonnie Smith)

Some beats I've really enjoyed over the years
Suicideyear - Hurry
FRCLN - Healthcare
Contact Lens - Mediafire Genius

The Megalo Box anime has a wonderful score: hip hop with some heavy rock and electro mixed in.
Good stuff. Megalo Box OST 44 - The Beast ft. COMA-CHI
#animemusicmatters

Bonus: Cœur De Pirate - Combustible

In response to Madeon - Beings, I was about to post the Beings x Divinity mashup but I already posted it above lol.

Speaking of important songs for oneself...
Some time ago, a life changing event for me ocurred that had this very specific song in it: Porter Robinson - Fresh Static Snow

Some Argentinian goodness: Soda Stereo - De Música Ligera (SEP7IMO DIA)

Bonus mashup: Gorillaz & Twenty One Pilots - Clint Eastood's Heathens (Mashup)

Edit bonus... this piece comes back to me every now and then, and it's always better every time. Halo 4 - Green & Blue (KOAN Sound Remix)

@Smalls: Hey, 'member the times of Art Request shops? You may not remember me since you were away at that time, I think, but I used to do some flashing requests on your shop back in the day
If you excuse the little peeking around, I'm happy you stuck with doing art, your stuff is pretty good.

I should really start my art engine back up again...

Recently I was pleasantly surprised by Billie Eilish, whose music I'm now listening frequently. Something about her style and execution... fits the brain nicely.
Billie Eilish - idontwannabeyouanymore

This band I used to listen a lot, a shame they haven't done much in recent times.
Of Monsters And Men - King and Lionheart

And a piece from a movie that has probably been one of the most condensed anxiety inducing experiences of my life...
Whiplash - Caravan

Edit: more Mat Zo because I can't get enough of this style of music
Mat zo - EZ

Building up a digital album catalogue given current media trends and such, and came to rediscover some old favorites from back in the day!

Children of the Sea - Black Sabbath ft. Ronnie James Dio

Invaders - Iron Maiden

and I've actually been hearing this one on the radio a lot lately, a good old ode to the vitality of friendships...

Under Pressure - Queen ft. David Bowie
