This is not really suggesting specific new passive cores, but suggesting more of a complete overhaul for them. The game desperately needs passives back for a multitude of reasons yet the devs questionably refuse to bring them back and are very obstinate on this point. The baseline of the removal of passives is that it makes the entire metagame focus on energy which lead to all classes gaining energy drain/regeneration skills thus making the classes all feel relatively similar compared to before. This lowers build diversity since the classes which all had similar builds still had very different passives, and also makes fights more monotonous with the cyclical energy draining and gaining. Anyways, here is a roundabout way to reintroduce the passives that we know from the older phases of the game in a hopefully more acceptable way to the devs. Basically, rework almost all passive cores, and make them MUCH more influential. Reduce their costs so that they are more affordable for everyone since they will now have a huge impact in the game. And then introduce a ton new passive cores, some of which can be reused from the removed ones. For example, a new one would just be a 15% blood lust effect on whatever weapon it was attached to. An armor core could be a 22% reroute. The core from the eternal or whatever his name is which boosts both defense and resistance just becomes a weaker hybrid armor at like +45 defense/resistance or something. And of course, new passive ideas, not just reused ones from old days. The main focus of this suggestion is to just remove the silly dependency on energy and also open up a lot more build variety since these passives will now be available to all classes. It will be a challenge to balance but will be very, very rewarding if performed correctly.
