 What im here to suggest is a new version of focus. What this means is that your bot damage doesn't increase based on your stats being 45 across the board but, instead, it increases based on 1 or 2 stats that are related to its special.... Meaning that each and every bot scales with different stats.
Heres what I mean:

First lets understand what focus is. IMO focus is just how strong your bot is. I mean, afterall, doesn't seem to do anything else besides affect bot damage.

Now back to the main idea:

Kartherax: Kartherax's special is to nerf the opponents primary weapon. So what if Kartherax, or your "Focus" WHEN THIS BOT IS EQUIPPED, increased when you increased strength and technology instead of all the other stats such as dex and support.

Gamma bot: Gamma bots special is a tech beam, this suggestion would make your players focus/this bots damage increase with tech only WHEN THIS BOT IS EQUIPPED.

Yeti: The Yeti special is a chomp that disables sidearm and aux. So this suggestion would make your players focus/this bots damage increase with Supp and dex WHEN THIS BOT IS EQUIPPED.

The focus/ bot dmg will increase by 5 point intervals so this could actually bring about more focus levels in this game

The reason for this is to bring about a new dimension to this game, as it is just getting more and more bland. It will be in a balanced way, as far as I can tell, and will definitely expand diversity.

Focus is actually minimized loss from diminishing stat returns. The bot damage thing is just an extra bonus the build gets for whatever reason since the build itself always has a weakness where it lacks any sort of high, single-turn damage (aside from ridiculously high energy cost skills which only fit on very specific builds like plasma cannon BM) and as a result can never outdamage heal loopers.

As for the suggestion, I kind of like it?

What I asked for a while ago was that bots only scale with tech so that they're like a gun or an aux except scaling with tech. The bot specials themselves become increasingly stronger with more focus instead (IE: Bio Borg Thorns % Increases from 40%-70% over 5 levels of focus). Focus builds already benefit way too much off of the current way stat spreads work in which base energy is ludicrously high (used to be around 45 or 450 base energy in previous phases, now it's in the 600s) so they don't deserve having a huge nuke in bot damage.

^ robot damage in a focus build is the only nuke damage they have for certain class u can't only think bm or merc since there cannon/bunker scale with tech or tm's bolt and super charge that's nuke but for ch only plasma grenade for tlms surgical and for bh smoke ! so not everyone have nukes in a focus 5 build so you can't think like that !

 Here is the thing builds don't need a nuke damage. Original focus build were outlast builds as gamma and assault bot didn't provide exceptional nuking like IA. If you removed their nukes they would go back to all round outlast builds, not as tough as a tank and not as strong as a glass cannon but better suited for a higher percentage of fights

^ focus builds were never that famous in gamma ! mostly used str or support if u go back in time u find that focus has gotten famous right after the release of the AI cause of it's ability to nuke for a focus 5 build which draw people to use this type , I don't need to remind you the bm build that gotten viral after the release of ai and the presence of cannon and deadly aim ! that's when focus 5 got viral and u see it more often ! so trust me as a focus 5 bh player 99 % of omega phase and focus 5 bm player in late delta phase , trust what I say without this nuke robot damage for focus 5 builds now days then focus 5 is literally useless . plus a robot do around 150 - 250 damage not like cannon or bunker which do a massive 280 + and 380 + if critical with their 25 % extra critical chance . and not everyone uses a max surgical or super charge to make 400 + damage all uses level 3 - 4 max on 5 to make 250 - 350 damage ! while the no nuke class which is bounty hunter the only 200 + damage attack that he have while using a focus 5 build is the robot while ch with a smart use of plasma grenade can do overdamage as well ! so the underdog class here is bh (speaking of presence of nuke attacks)

 As a person who normally builds tanky I can assure that if focus builds didn't get that really heavy bot damage my battles with most of them would consistently be 50+ turns.
