hey guys I'm working on a video of the top 10 things the community wants in adventure quest 3D
so all I need you to do is comment some of the stuff you would like to see added!

Improved combat mechanics (more that button smash- THIS IS 3D request something that uses timing or advanced combos!)

Some sort of reward for DF dragonlords, AQ Guardians, and MQ Starcaptains (like exclusive armor/weapon/pet)

I'd like to see a greater variety of weapon/armor/monsters designs ,when I first got introduced to Artix Entertainment games ,what really caught my attention and made me a loyal player was how incredible the artwork is.

Something that I thought would really make the epic was that players would each have their own dragon like in dragon fable ,but not as a pet that you would buy .but as a companion and when it fully grows ,a player would be able to to mount it and go to dragon access only areas like remote places (like training grounds for pyromancers that could be near a volcano) ,or maybe to a portal to mystical areas like ravenloss ,or even to sky kingdoms like the one for chickencow lords, djinnis ,etc.. ,and while trying to travel to these areas on your dragon ,you'd have to have sky battles with air born monsters that try to shoot you while you try to evade and you use your dragon's abilities to kill them but not in the minigame sense cause that takes away from an open world experience, but in a way where you feel like it's an entire adventure in the sky that you just want to go explore and places that can maybe armor up your dragon or maybe there could even be more than one type of beast that you can choose to raise for it to be your companion.

I'd also like to see more complicated game play mechanics all around cause this would really get AQ3D to be a cut above the rest ,and i wish that enemy monsters wouldn't be able to phase through the character when they get too close.

I'd also think would be pretty sweet if at some point in the game when underwater kathool related missions appear ,that a the entire ocean would be an exploration of some sort and if the character could buy and customize his own ship and upgrade so it can survive sea adventures and maybe at a high lvl in the game the ship and character would be fit enough to explore the terrors of the void using that ship.

For some reason I keep day dreaming of things that could be added to this game, (at one point I imagined that PVP in AQ3D could be MOBA styled with jungle and lanes XD) ,and I got a ton more ,I know that all of this is a long shot but they would make the game so magnificent in my eyes that I wouldn't really wanna play anyother game ,but I feel that when it comes artix entertainment the possibilities that they could make are seemingly endless ,all that's needed is the initiation word 'OK'.

I want more maps with a lot of interactive objects, small puzzles and things to collect. The second dungeon has some of those features and i loved it, i want things like that everywhere.

A Book of Lore with the texts of all completed quests would be cool too.

They mentioned the possibility of new races other than humans (such as a draconic humanoid, or with the dragon-like head, or a wolf etc).

That's cool, but with helmets covering most of those features, It would not make much difference in how players are distinguished from each other.


What would be really nice would be to have differing body types. :)
We already have "male" and "female" body types, but those could be expanded into a range of options:

Body base:
-"Female"
-"Male"
-Androgynous

Width: (Thinner/Thicker variations. Overall Increase/decrease of mass and width)
-Thinner
-Thicker
-Average

Height: (Doesn't affect width)
-Short
-Tall
-Medium

Proportions:
-Top-Heavy: This focuses on wider shouders, thicker arms and chest. But smaller hips, legs, etc.
-Bottom-Heavy: Reverse of the above. Wider hips, thicker legs and butt, but smaller torso/shoulders, etc.
-Default: The existing model as it is.

In total, this would allow for 81 body variations!


This would help distinguish and help give more personality to each player.
(It would also be nice if we could change the face, although its makes less of an impact, because its smaller and occasionally covered in helmets.)

Character customization would be great though. A slider option would easily be the better option than having different archetype bodies.
One thing that I would like to see is the use of off-hand weapons. Be it either dual-wielding or using a shield.
If we're going to be "loyal" to AQ classic, then shields should be a thing, right?

Yeah, I would also prefer individual sliders. But maybe it could be too heavy for a mobile game. If they pulled it off in any way, I would be very happy :)

1. A good, new and thus refreshing combat system. Every big AE game up to this point (besides HeroSmash, but that's more of a AQW-spinoff) has had an unique combat system. The reason I tried all of them out was because their combat systems were all diverse. I hope AQ3D gets an unique combat system too, instead of mainly being based on AQW. It would give a good reason to play both games at the same time.
Hopefully they'll expand the combat system with a 2-class system or something (being able to equip 2 classes at the same time).
2. Balanced PVP. A PVP system that brings every character to the same level and equipment power would be welcome. Of course you can have a PVP mode without that balancing method besides that, but having a PVP mode every player of every level can freely play and thus purely depends on skill would make the game a lot more fun.
3. Like said above, the return of races. and Paxia-like clans Big wars between races as vampires and werewolves or Paxia clans, and different sides having unique powers would be amazing. Especially in 3d.

as this is an MMO, it could use several things

first off is a revamped chat box, with things like, global, area, and say chats, not to mention whispers
next it could use clans or guilds
a dungeon queing system would be nice if you plan to make multiple player dungeons.
it'd also be nice to have more than 4 skills per class, just saying
Edit: also being able to press a button to talk to an npc instead of clicking on them would be nice.

A class similiar to Shadow Hunter in dragonfable, that has a few abilities and when you use them in certain orders, you do special, stronger attacks.

I would really like skill trees to be implemented. some sort of way to control which skills you have and have improved skills as you lvl up. Also, friends need to be implemented.

Pets (different benefits like one fights one collects loot etc)
a better npc interface
more mobs
an armor status thing where you can see what armor your wearing rather than having the trouble of looking in your inventory
a friends list
make the arrow keys the camera not the mouse
have a purpose in the game because the game will get really boring once youre lvl 12.
have skills (like runescape)
quests (like runescape)
trading other players
a grand market where people can sell to eachother
the chat box (improve it)
more maps
why does every monster automatically hit me??? please fix that.
have a player vs player area. and they can steak item and or gold
have more things things to buy with gold
have a world mad
graphics arent the best
when im on higher ground and i attack a monster, they automatically regen all their health.
have a more orginized inventory system.
a skill tree where you can have more than one skill, for example, instead of fireball,the skill tree would have ice bolt or something

I would love to see the Frogzard Blade that was added to the original AdventureQuest in honor of Steve Irwin, if only as a rare drop from Frogzards.

Also in Battleon, in deep shadow behind the buildings, the rocks still display a character shadow. Nothing major, but still worth noting.

A slider bar would be too heavy for the game to run. However, you can portray most realistic body shapes with 5-6 different body shapes:
ectomorph
mesomorph
endomorph
& the combinations of these (there are six altogether).
It would not be hard to implement; however there are then five more body models to load per area, which reduces graphics speed. If you wanted to do something similar with the faces, you would have 36 combinations. It's doable, but as something that impacts graphics quality to the degree it does, I wouldn't recommend more than 3 body types.

I agree with @Red Komet; being able to play as an Ateala or Water Elf (for example) could be fun; especially if the different species have different advantages.
Ateala are weak to light, but have unique 'planewalking' magic. Water Elves are weak to heat and fire, but can breathe underwater. etc.

I personally would like to see skills that aren't necessarily combat based:

Tree powers?

While I don't actually know if any of these will work in terms of coding, it's just the general feel I'm after; if the game facilitates puzzles as well as combat, it'll be a cross-market hit.

Ability to rank up classes to obtain new skills

Better controls. Movement right now is very clunky and it takes forever to turn around. I would like to see separate commands to turn aroind instead of wasd/arrow keys. Also, there should be a keyboard alternative to adjust the camera than the mouse. Camera control speed should be faster too. The slow backwards walk is awkward and makes turning around/moving back slower. There should be two types of movement instead; one slow and one fast. Perhaps a run button and toggle could be implemented to fit both into one set of controls. Besides camera and movement, there should be a keyboard command to get drops and do interactive quests. It would be even better of we can get to customize the controls. Right now the controls are catered more to the mobile version than PC so I would welcome new additions to make the game more enjoyable in all versions.

Another thing I would like to see is an improvement to the battle mechanics. Right now it doesn't take full advantage of the 3d environment and the battle system seems rather myopic due to the lack of skills. I would like to see a more action-oriented combat system with no/optional auto-aim/target and more skills. To get around with the game's limitations using 4-main skills and several mini-skills would be feasible. The mini-skills would be 'mini' in a sense that their effects may me minor compared to the main skills and/or they have no/simpler animations. They would add depth to the combat and make it feel more complete.

ill keep it quick simple and to the point verification shops and of course HAMMERs it would also be nice to lose the crafting time no other mmo puts on a time limt and by adding a timer its kindda like playing a fb *shudders with hatered* game

does anyone have a link for bugs

-Stats, definitely stats. A stat system that distinguishes people apart from others.
-Skill trees. Not skill trees for classes, but skill trees for your character. Such as: Damage, Dexterity, Defense, Healing. Each section has passives and skills that boost your ability in that role IE +3% crit, +50 attack, +50 healing rating, +50 defense, "2% chance when hit to decrease damage by 30%", "Increase DoT damage by 50%" etc. More perks per level up, and people can choose their main role and invest into skills that support that role, or hybrid, and the class they are wearing.
-Class perks. Classes should have a ranking ability, like AQW, but the ranks do not "Unlock" skills. All skills should be available even at rank 1, but perks as you rank up the class should be earned IE "Increase Fireballs DoT by 50%", "You have a small chance when auto-attacking to gain a stack of Poison", etc. These would make classes more interesting than just 4 skills.
-Set bonuses.
-Weapons with special abilities.
-Weapons being able to be enhanced to be stronger.
-Buffs
-Classes revolving around buffs and debuffs.
-Trading/Auction House

-The ability to manually rearrange your backpack for easy organization
-Team up options for dungeons, so you stop wasting those valuable keys on an empty dungeon.
-Trading reagents (only common reagents, not the uncommon and awesome ones)
-Character stat progression (as stated by Fallen Crest)
-Larger Base inventory space Having only 30 inventory space in this game is nowhere near 'sufficient' We have way more item types than AQW, we deserve a larger backpack.

Here's some that comes in my mind :

1. "Dont Show Other Player's Animation" setting.
Not everyone play on high spec. If open beta is live without this, some people could no more play comfortly.
Concept : When a player use class skill (took War Cry as an example), its just shown to their own. Those with this function checklisted wont see the animation effect.

2. Mini Map, with Coordinate Circles.
This saves much time.
Concept : Each circle represents a player. When a user click a circle, it shows related user status and additional command like "Jump" or "Whisper".

3. Craft Material Slot
Craft Material wastes our bagspace! I mean, we cant even use it. So why it must took inventory space?
Concept : Infinite slot to keep craft material. Might work like Class slot.

4. AQWorlds Style Items Arrangement
People can have OCD when they stare at the current items arrangement. Really..
Concept : Items separated based on its category; belt, shoulder, back, armor, weapon, helm. Listed in alphabetical order.
