With notice that TLAPD will soon leave, and the Crystal aniversery gear for good, is there any stand-out loot that should be grabbed while the getting is good?

Crystal Petey is a pretty good guest for beastmasters and comes in both SP and MP flavors. Other than that nothing really stands out in terms of straight up utility, just rare bling value.

Cool, how does Petey match up against Rhubzard, who I believe was on rotation about the same time?

Ultimately they do different things, Petey stacks up a potent blind that can quickly make the monster miss at a fairly high rate, Rhubzard steals luck which can reduce the strength of your opponent's lucky strikes and empower your own.

Which one you want comes down to a personal opinion since they aren't really directly comparable, I'd get both if you can and test to see which one you prefer if you don't want to keep both around indefinitely, however it is worth noting that Crystal Petey will be gone forever whereas Rhubzard appears to be seasonal.

Summon Crystal Petey is most similar to Summon Aquella, which uses 33% melee to Daze the target at a 55.5% rate.
Petey's Blind is -23 BtH, which is worth 16.1% melee, approximately half the amount that Aquella spends for a defensive status condition.

So unless you are attempting to stack Blinds from various sources such as Cephalopod, Petey isn't worth a slot in the inventory as it is not competitive enough defensively.
