I've been wondering for a while now. Do scythes have a different effect on overall damage than other weapon types like swords & axes? I'm a warrior so I'm deciding between having scythes in my arsenal or just sticking with swords & axes. I think the difference was mentioned in one of the design notes posts but I forgot what it was. Would someone care to explain? Thanks

from what i recall a scythe is able to deal any damage type (melee, pierce or magic) depending on which relevant stat (str, dex or int respectively) is your highest. this makes it a one scythe fits all type of weapon that saves the need of making a sword, staff and dagger version of each weapon that is being released but otherwise has no actual difference game wise that i can recall.

Most scythes give all three mainstats so you can more stat benefits when you use them.
