Chaos Scimitar E is set to be a varium exclusive with the same price as the class specific primaries, while the 7 other new swords are also sold for credits.

Mission 35 rewards 3400 credits instead of 3500 if the idea is the same as for missions 28, 29, 30 and 34

It says 3400 but oddly enough, when you actually go to complete it, the reward is 3500. So it's just an issue with the mission text I suppose.
