Hi guys,
Many, many, many cores, skills, bot, and more do 85% when you active them. But is it ever truly 85%? We all know it isn't. Sometimes you could be doing 200dmg normal strike damage and when you use a skill such as assimilation, or the BM parasite, you would do 30 dmg.
It's mind blogging how much dmg these 85% damage skills rob sometimes and I don't think it was intentional. These were introduced, long, long ago and I think they're outdated now. They need to change honestly.
How about 15% damage reduction instead of 85% normal strike damage? I believe this change the damage dealt to it's intended amount.
Think of it this way, if the skill said "deal 30 dmg to active this skill", or just "lose significant dmg to active" would you ever use it? I think the answer is plainly no.
Changing the dmg formula for all these 85% dmg skills would greatly help balance, and who knows, maybe people would start using items we haven't seen in a while.
NOTE: "15% dmg reduction" I'm not suggesting is the new formula to use for this, but just a example. Use whtever works. I recommend we bring the dmg down to it's respected, intended 15%, or even make it 10%. Not the current 500% dmg reduction it can be at times (ex 200 dmg turning into 30).
