I know members items and such went to cash purchase, but what about areas?

 Areas are still locked, as far as I know. Don't bother asking for anyone to change it, none of the staff will ever be available to fix up this game until pigs fly.

So are non-member areas enough to do the story or should I just wait until members areas open up (if ever)?

 Free play will still allow you to get through the main story until Clock Blocker, but there is no continuation after that.

Is Clock Blocker the actual end of the story or just the start of the Member only part?

 Clock Blocker is the final end of the story. I'd say until further notice but that's as likely as AE ever accepting it as one of their main games. They deliberately ignore all mentions of it and won't link to Herosmash on the main site.

Okay, thank you. In that case I'll spend some time in HeroSmash when I get the chance since I can get through its story.

That said, is there a webpage somewhere that best shows the proper story order?
