 I'm playing a mage, currently lvl57. I want to know what weapons, pets, items I should or could use and all. I know that my spells are efficient, but my items and stats I'm not so sure...

For Stats max out Int followed by Dex, use the Magestaves to boost the spells from Wizard Robes

Fire Magestaff and for other elements

Pyromancer's Robe and for other elements

Cerebus Ward from Underworld Part I: The Hunt for Hollow
Apam Napat's Fervour
Sudhri
Horo-show Void Vindicator
Morningstar Bulwark
Umazen Aspis for +20 Paralysis Potence from The Umazon Stirs
Emancipator's Radiance for +20 Blind Potence from The Last Umazen City

Spellcraft for Void

Underwyrmling
Cephalopod
Vinddverger's Pest
Ice Cream Golem
Eye Spy
Pikazard
Fairy Godmother click hand to toggle Hp/Mp heal

A lot of it depends on what build you want to go for. Most folks prefer the FO meta mage that kills the monster as fast as possible, but an FD beastmage that has good defences and resource management is also quite viable.

As far as guides go, Adventure Quest Wiki is a reliable up-to-date resource with equipment suggestions, skill comparisons and best strategies available. I'd suggest making good use of it.
