Hi.

So on a couple of servers (Artix and Gravelyn) the respawn rate has been increased. I have to say that for me, after a bit of testingi think this is a good idea. I like to do some of my farming in a room of my own but respawn rates made this an issue.

does anyone think there are any drawbacks to this?

The reason for the original 15 secs or longer respawn times was to provide greater space between player actions such as pressing menu buttons, entering rooms and combat, which have shorter delay times that contribute proportionally more to server load.
The reduction to 3-5 secs may result in increased lag when players actively demand a response from a more populated server as opposed to being AFK.

The respawn rate has been increased on Sir Ver as well. I figured it had been on all servers.

I like it more than I dislike it, but I don't COMPLETELY like it.

It does indeed make for significantly faster farming, which I absolutely love, saves a lot of time when there is little or no lag.

However, at the same time:

It often causes slightly more lag and a few more disconnects. And for the record, I don't use bots, I don't even use AQ Lite, the only "cheat" or "exploit" I take advantage of is the attempting to delete AC items so I don't have to return to quest givers to turn in quests and if I desire re-obtain them, those that know what I'm referring to know how much time it saves and how convenient it is, those that don't have no idea what they are missing. I don't think this is a bannable offense, I hope not anyway.

You have to enter a different room and re-enter rooms to turn in quests, which is a bit inconvenient, especially in the Tercessuinotlim zone.

Some bosses respawn almost too fast.

Otherwise, I think this update is great! :)

In summary:

1. Fix lag and disconnects

2. Slow respawn time in Tercessuinotlim zone

3. Slow respawn time on SOME bosses, not all.

Once these changes are made, I think it's ready to go on all servers :) And indubitably a well-needed change at that! :) A phenomenal job, Artix Entertainment team! :)

I agree with Cyrenius above : I like it more than dislike.
I would say tho, I really do not care for the auto lock-on, when defeating a monster. It is bothersome to have to manually click on a different monster ( Esp. in icestormarena with the 6 Frost Spirits / or multi-monster maps ).
I've had to change my gameplay a bit ( after 11 yrs ), but not ragequit so. :P
Thank you AE staff! :)
Peace!

The faster respawn is actually a yes from me. Considering we can also have the option to farm alone in different rooms without waiting for that older long cooldown is nice. Its never too late to change :)

I think the bad point is only about aggro monsters and interaction with NPCs (like opening a shop) as the aggro mob wont allow you to perform said action. Altho the Testers and Bug Hunter team are dealing with those over time.
