I'd be a bit more concerned with the people setting the bait than with the bait itself. Who would go that far to promote tourism to that place? Specifically because everyone who spread word of the Cai-Man Islands knew they were dangerous enough to hold off two armies until the Chosen settled things. Granted, there's the matter that it's not entirely impossible that her father hasn't been seen in twenty years for more reasons than just the grievous damage, multiple betrayals, and blasting off like Team Rocket. Maybe he's been offering some cutting critique about in-world portrayals of his daughter. But that would be too outlandish, wouldn't it? Either way, someone thinks the profit is worth the risk... Edit: No, there isn't an abrupt narrative focus on that character in AQ.
