DragonFable Riddles - now with +10 solving resistance

A long time ago, there was a thread were people could post riddles and/or compete against each other in solving them.
Especially in times like now, its good to keep a hero's mind quick and nimble.
So i came out of hiding to give you my newest riddles wich could be a valuable hero distraction give the heroes some fun in this dire times.
So...let the riddles begin

(solved)
Merciless and cruel
Even more like the others
Thats what i am.
But it only bothers
me, that i only could use a hand.
At the other, a shining weapon now stand.
My boss may be cruel, let me atone for my sin,
my final demise, it came from my own kin.

(solved)
My name; its a contradicton itself.
I created something that would look good on a shelf.
A floating thingie caused my existence to end
But all i wanted, after all....was a friend

(solved)
I am part of the town, but rarely be seen.
I mostly use all my powers off-screen
With all the things i had into making
i mostly speak out at the annual thankstaking.
blue girl and grey dawn, we three can at least
all work together, to make a big feast.

(solved)
I stand guard out here, together with my friend
Well, i guess everyone has to make an end?
A murder had happened, may it grisly or not
I am still not allowed to move from the spot.
You are a hero. Bet you could find the clue
But i still have my duty, i won't let you through.

With the second riddle solved, i'll start giving out more as soon as i have created them



@ v Even though it fits, now that i think about it, True Mortal is wrong.

And the last one could be Malich Salavich or his dragon Tarraan from the Auction House quest.

@^ And with that, the last riddle is solved. Seems that i am way to slow in creating new riddles. Bun new ones will come...soon.

A being of old, long away, but now i stand
with an army of thousands at my command.
I was quite arrogant, this realization was a shock.
Maybe i better would've not killed the dog?
I stole the witches, tried to rearrange me.
Can i redeem me with a garden, now that i am free?


My world is full of darkness, no matter what i try;
but i am nicer than some of my friends would imply.
So please dont fight me; I will help when time has come.
So with my help, you can beat the Rotten One.


I have many faces, that is for sure.
But everything repeats.....and i have to endure.

I think this will keep you occupied.....for a day or so.

 Might as well use this as an excuse to bring back Describe DragonFable as badly as possible.

Good luck solving these.

1. Cryptic visitor encourages hero to believe in his dreams.

2. In an attempt to be taken seriously, woman kills relative, steals house pet and goes diving.

3. Family reunion goes wrong, results in death of the oligarchy, but at least helps guy to discover who he truly is.

4. Character commits various atrocities in an attempt to bring back family member only to learn that, truth is, the game was rigged from the start. (Technically this one could apply to 2 or 3 different characters depending on how you look at things).

Obviously, i made the riddles too hard....or no one wants to solve them anymore. Anyway, i think i'll solve them on friday.

4- Seems like... Uhh... Can't remember the name, but the dad of the kid from the Vaalroirr saga. The one who sacrificed a village to cure his son, who became the first weaver.
Edit: Wait... That one's obviously Vayle.

#2 is pretty general... But my first though is Zhoom. He was a bad guy, kinda, we fought him, and then he helped us beat Sek-Duat. Also, he was trapped in darkness for a while in book 3, IIRC.
But I can think of others the riddle could apply to...

1)
Heavy lies the head
we are defeated, but not dead
we waited in an ancient tomb
and sought to bring the destroyer's doom.

2)
I have refused the honor,
I had not a moment in the sun.
In these lands I am a foreigner
even after our war was won.

But above all, I am a fighter
and not to toot my broken horn,
but even where the sun is brighter
I am the best, you have been warned.

@^ Nice idea. And fitting. Let me give you a hint....you have to take a certain line of that more literal. Zhoom is wrong, Sorry.

1. Yep it's Remthalas.

4. Yep, Vayle is indeed one of the 3 characters who was thinking of when I came up with that one. Can you guess the other 2? Interestingly enough Riorr's father hadn't crossed my mind since he actually succeeded in saving Roirr.

Correct and correct.

Remaining unsolved plus new ones I came up with:

1. In an attempt to be taken seriously, woman kills relative, steals house pet and goes diving.

2. Guy with dissociative personality disorder convinces local hero to help him steal literature.

3. Main character assaults deformed migrant in order to obtain new clothes. What a hero.
