Yeah choke and blind together doesn't make any sense . They're kind of opposites. If the thought process was so that those who prefer blocking wants to use it they can, and those who want to reduce damage want to use it, they can..thus making it usable for more players... BUT, if the effects combined were being paid for, then I would think it would have been better to scrap one effect, and make the one remaining better. Nearly all effects in this game stand alone are not good enough to just have and use. That's good for balance, but having an item that's "multiple" and the effect then not being as powerful means at some point later, people will just use one that purely does blind, or purely does choke...to maximize the effect...since stacking to max the effect is far far far more optimal. It certainly gives variety, which is always welcomed, but it will be outclassed in preference if not already, but eventually. And you can't expect every item made to be analyzed pre-release to make sure it's the best. We get what we get. You either want it or you don't, so let's just play the game and in time something else that is deemed better will eventually be there :-) The game will always have these types of items. I can make the argument that items that do too many things are worse than items that do one thing really well. Acenstral forbiddence spell is like that. Burn and choke. I'd rather have a better burn and no choke, or a better choke and no burn. There are miscs galore that do way way way too much, and then end up having their upkeeps high when most people are using the misc for a specific use, not everything it does. But these types of things provide variety and variety is good. So we live with it.
