September 2022 Golden Giftboxes - Talk Like a Pirate Day:
Ahoy! There be a ton o' booty coming to the Golden Giftboxes! A specially bred Earth version of the Hippocampus, this aquatic steed is a powerful offensive armor. Arcane Cutlasess are wielded by more magically adept pirates and amplify the power of your Earth or Ice spells. Plus new Ravenous and Gold-Hungry Mimic Pets!

Dark Dragon Staff

RhubZard Void Takeover:

Earth cutlass! Ice too, although we have an option. And it's good to see some old less desireable stuff moving out. Great decision. Hopefully more over time.

Maybe the cutlasses will finally be fixed and give +22.5% spell damage instead of their current +28.125% lol

Unaware of the boost being an issue, but IMO it's late in the game to be fixing UR GGB items that multiple copies have been made to cover the elements. A reduction may not sit well, and might change UR ggb buying decisions. Any "fix" should have been made when the first ones were released. Players wanting an adjustment years later because of some mathematical error or whatever the reasoning is and implementing said adjustments IMO are far more detrimental to AQ's growth than getting it right when it's not done at the time of release.

Fun is literally being sucked out of the game for many players who use such items when that scenario plays out in my opinion.


Announcing the final 2 elements of the cutlass creates excitement only to then hope they get nerfed? Why the buzzkill? It's like announcing a shadowwalker of time clone coming that everyone requested and are excited about only for some to come out and ask for it's skill to be nerfed...

 While there are now 8 elements of the cutlasses i would still like to have a Heal and Harm cutlass option too. We do not have any good Healing booster weapons with 1 being currently rare (Moglin Sword) and 2 Sila Staff which is underleveled. A Healing cutlass would fit this spot very nicely. And a Harm cutlass can be also very good considering we did get a Harm booster Guest (Fan Cameo).

 Agree with Sapphire. Honestly don't see the point of making these insignificant changes that really does nothing other than to devalue those who bought the items and discourage sales for the new cutlasses about to be released

It's amazing to me they're still making hippocampus, especially in elements that have gold initiative armors like earth. I mean, I'm going to buy the armor for collection purposes as well, but still.

EDIT: Anyone planning on buying arcane cutlasses should be aware that staff just made all of them give 6% less spell boost, including the upcoming cutlasses. See info subs: http://forums2.battleon.com/f/fb.asp?m=22405417

Guys, I highly doubt this is a mage vs warrior favoritism discussion. While I admit I do not know the backdrop of the thrale's scorn "happening", as I probably wasn't playing much at the time, I'd wager a bet it's an entirely different situation.... the amount of items affected being a huge difference. In addition, the cutlasses ended up balanced in the end...most likely just like Thrale's.

Staff got it right with the cutlasses in the end, and likely did with thrale's.

 Why is the Earth-Clone of the Ravenous Mimic pet in the Rare shop when the original is in the UltraRare shop?

Edit: The Landlubbin' Hydrocampus Rider has Fire for its database/shop element, rather than Earth.
Edit 2: Haunted Pegleg pet doesn't load in the shop/in battle (file probably missing).
