I am darkness; he is light.
we’re destined to fight.
I wish there was another way;
I wish we could both stay.
I know what you’re thinking,
but that thought I will sting:
I have no choice but to say
there is black and white, no gray.
It is a pain of mine,
knowing I crossed the line.
For the ones I would kill,
I am nothing but pure evil.
I wish it wasn’t so
that my soul wasn’t condemned long ago.
It calls me to strike
and pierce him like a pike.
So run before it forces my hand;
I am sorry you will never understand.
It is my fault that I accepted this curse,
so run! I don’t want to lose the last coin in my purse!
Tell him to use his hack;
don’t let him hold back.

Looking back, I know what I saw:
I was mischief; he was law.

Surrendering to darkness
left his life a mess.
His curse is my burden;

Had I not fallen,
I would’ve killed them.
So I do not blame him for the act;
my only redemption was my alignment.
This, I know, is a fact:
to his destruction he was sent.
I must save him, no matter the cost.
I cannot accept this cause to be lost.
I will not fulfill his request;
When we fight, I will not be the best.
I wish our situations were reversed;
I should be the one that is cursed.
Even if the cost is my life,
I will remove darkness’s knife.
Here I lie,
ready to die.
My life is a void;
My loyalties destroyed.
If you were searching, you’d find
that, at a time, I was the best of my kind.
My skills with a bow were legendary,
Yet now my powers are drowned in a sea.
After I took a single breath,
My friends began fighting to the death.
There they were, black and white,
finally igniting the upcoming fight.
I am trapped behind a gate,
so all I can do is watch and wait.
Neither fights on their own will;
neither one of them wants to kill.
They both said they could not show restrain,
a fact that has brought me great pain.
My life is a shard;
I can’t go forward.
If no peace can be found,
I am no better than a hound.
I can’t fulfill their wish;
it’s time I cleaned up their dish.
I hope they hit my heart,
since there can be no fresh start.
I interfered and was struck down,
so I must not show a frown.
If the fight ends here,
the end is near.
So here I lie,
gladly ready to die.
She met great harm
by the sword of my arm.
Don’t bother trying to sell
that you did not harm her as well.
She wants to stay;
she will not go away.
Your sword drives you;
mine does the same, too.
So I know where to hit;
your weapon has a weak spot in it.
Until now, I had held back;
but this strike will come after my hack.
I must aim with a thrust for the counterweight;
I hope the blow will open your gate.
Your powers will remain;
downpour will become rain.
Lessened you will be,
but at least you will be free.
