 I see where you're coming from. Use whatever attacks you want, I don't think you'll be penalised for using that form of attack. If I had to place that kind of attack in one element I would choose either wind or earth.

Yes, Geddesmck and omf, it is allowed for you to just use physical attacks, and no elemental magic. You can become a very good candidate for being a finalist (or, in the finals, for winning the tournament) without ever using an elementally based or elementally charged attack, or any elemental magic at all. (There are other ways to show your devotion to your Elemental Lord, such as praying to him, or announcing that what you're doing is in his name, just to name a few)

Oh and that helps me out more two since I am somewhat a Knight.


@Ronin, can I change my class to Mage-knight? Its the same as hybrid.

There is a reason I made a point not to reread your EC posts before last years EC. TD was fond of reminding my that you used Water magic in just about every way concievable, and I didn't want to be accused of copying you. Any similarities were accidental, and I feel that I aquitted myself fairly well.

I'm with TD and DW on this though. No sense in tip-toeing though the tulips, this is the EC, kill someone, its marvelously therapeutic.

I remember in the 2005 EC dropoffs, my only competitor for the Ice slot was ChaosDivine. His failing was that he was "cool, calm, and collected"... and waited for someone to attack him. Which didn't happen.

Waiting around for someone else to make the first move is generally a good way to not do anything.

What I ment was that I was going to just chill in my first post get used to the arena then my second post is were I would attack.

 I'm made wary by how easily my character was accepted. I thought I was overpowering it a bit but there he is on the front page without a single comment about godmoding. If the ability to manipulate electric and magnetic fields on an atomic level is welcome without a word, I wonder what kind of power other characters mght posess. I'm scared. :)smiley

 Well Sate, if you do godmode you'll be removed, so it doesn't matter anyway. I think there is a level of trust here, you character may have the potential to godmod, but it's wether you do or not that's the issue.

Believe me, Sate, you probably should be scared. If previous ECs are any indication, being able to manipulate one's element at the atomic or molecular level is going to be the least of your worries. Also, I just have to say that I can't wait to see what happens. I have a few tricks that I'm going to save for the finals, if I ever make it there. If I'm forced to show my entire hand during the drop-offs, then I'm screwed in the finals anyways, so I may as well hold some things in reserve.

 Maybe, if we are in the same arena. I doubt we will be to be honest, but I would enjoy it. You are using the same character no? But, is he a different element this year?

EDIT: Just thought about it, I probably shouldn't have posted in reply, I seem to be getting into lots of small and irrelevent conversations, sorry everyone. If you want to continue talking to me dragon I think it would help prevent clutter if you PMed me.

That doesn't make sense to me, why wouldn't you give it your all from the get-go? Either you have what it takes or you don't and if you pull out all the stops and other people are holding back, you should win! (And serves them right for not putting forth full effort)
And if you hold back, you probably wont win, and you won't be able to showcase whatever neat idea you had!
Not you, specifically, but people in general, I mean.

Well, Sate, giving it my all has nothing to do with the abilities I use during the EC. I'm holding certain abilities in reserve simply because I want to have something kept close to the vest in the event that I make the Finals. Also, there are some abilities I'll only be ABLE to use in the Finals, whether I'd like to use them sooner or not. The thing is, regardless of whether I use all of my abilities or none at all, I will be RPing at the same level throughout. Some of the abilities are deadly, some are more flashy than effective, and all of them are useful in some way. I'm nearly certain I wouldn't have a chance to use them all anyway, even if the drop-offs lasted for three or four weeks.

Yes, Ronin will make introductory posts for each Arena, and the competitors are free to go from there.
