Untitled

Over the ancient Dune,
In the Land of Night,
So rose the Day-Born Moon

Nyx presided over this commune,
Her people held in their dark plight,
Over the ancient Dune.

Hermera was picayune,
But saw her mother's spite.
So rose the Day-Born Moon.

Her mother pushed her hand too soon,
Cloaking Day with Twilight,
Over the ancient Dune.

Hermera patiently waited till High Noon,
And shaped her Day-Born Light.
So rose the Day-Born Moon.

Nyx fell in a swoon.
Her kingdom saved by her daughter's might.
Over the ancient Dune,
So rose the Day-Born Moon.

I am

Why does everything
I touch die?
Plants wilt and wither
Whenever I try.
Conversations die
When I join in.
Clubs will bite the dust
When I approach.
Figuratively,
I am Death's touch.
Many a friendship,
Died by my hand.
I cannot stop it.
Despite trying
I still fail epically.
I have killed all.
I am cursed by death
And his touch.
I am what I am.
I am Death.

Obsession

My heart aches
For you
To be near me.
Every thought
Of you
Rends it further.
Every sound emitted
By you
Is another dagger.
The longing memory
Of your
Scent drives me crazy.
I desperately want
You to
Be here with me.
My heart belongs
To you
For eternity and forever.

Unheard

Silent screams,
Unseen tears,
Are covered by the storm.

Screams are lost,
The sound of thunder,
Drowns out the sound.
A plea goes unheard again!

Silent screams,
Unseen tears,
Are covered by the storm.

Tear are hidden,
Rain floods my face,
Masking the pain of sorrow.
A plea goes unseen again!

Silent screams,
Unseen tears,
Are covered by the storm.

Can no one hear
My pleading heart
Is fading fast into the storm?
I'm becoming ice one more.

Please someone hear
My silent screams,
Please someone see
My unseen tears!
I don’t want to
Be covered up by
The storm anymore!

Lifetime

What can one person hope to do in a Day, in an Hour, in a Minute?
The answer is everything.
In one Day, you can change a Life.
In one Hour, you can learn a Lesson.
In one Minute, you can make a Decision.
Add together those Days, Hours, and Minutes.
You now have a Lifetime.

A person who I can always trust.

A person with much-needed advice.

A person who always listens.
You are my Comfort,
A person with a ready hug.

A person who tells me what’s wrong with me.
You are my Memory,
A person who tells me what I forgot.
You are my Lighthouse,
A person who shows the way.
You are my Future,
A person who gives me a glimpse of what I will become.
You are my Past
A person who gave birth to me.

Silence

I only hear condescension
From your silent lips.
I only see pride
In your dark eyes.
I only feel cold
On your porcelain skin.
I only see annoyance
In your perfect movements.
I only smell warmth
From your faultless body.
I only know
You’re not for me.

I can only dream,
But never touch.

Small Words

One small word can say so much:
Pain.
Hurting from loss or rejection.
Fear.
Hiding behind your lie.
Want.
Yearning for someone to care.
Confusion.
Not knowing where to turn.
Silence.
Keeping it all under wraps.
Acceptance.
Belonging no where and knowing it.
Intimidation.
Being scared of everyone.
Revenge.
Acting back against those who hurt you.
Suicide.
Planning the final good bye.

A Life Unraveled

I have been stabbed
Through the heart.
How am I to live?
I watch blood flow
From my wounds.
How am I to live?
You promised me life,
But gave me hell.
How am I to live?
I see lights flashing
As I grow faint.
How am I to live?
I feel numb
As pain flees.
How am I to live?
Your grinning teeth glisten
As they near my neck.
How am I to live?
I see the knife
You stabbed me with.
How am I to live?
I feel fire now,
spreading through my body.
How am I to live?
You whisper encouragement
As I scream.
How am I to live?
I stop bleeding
As my heart stops.
How am I to live?
I cant move,
But I feel fine.
How am I to live?
You help me up,
Cradling me in your arms.
How am I to live?
I hear whispered
in my ear.
How am I to live
Forever
without you?

I fell asleep,
On your chest.
Your arms around
My limp form.

Where are we going?
The Bus drives on,
Far into the night.
Where are we going?

Your dark eyes
Search my soul.
I do not see this
Through my lidded eyes.

Where are we going?

My hair moves
Under you fingers.
They are so delicate
And so loving.

I shift gently
And look up trustingly
At your sculpted jaw.
My eyes shine with sleep.

You quietly hum
A deep lullaby.
I drift off again
Safe in your arms.

I awaken,
And look up.
I realize,
It was only a dream.

My supposed friends?

Have I hurt you
Too deeply
When I said,
"I'm done."
Is there no hope
For us?

How can I say
What I want,
When I'm scared
I've hurt you
Too much.

Could you forgive me?
I'm sorry
And all I
Want to say is
"I love you."
Is that too late?
Is there no hope?
Am I too late
to say
"I love you."?

Born in obscurity,
We feel the need to make a mark,
We then die and
Join obscurity amongst
Rows of white,
Unmarked graves,
Just as obscure
As the day
We were Born.

The Impossible

Silent dreams die
As uncertainty sets in.
We question them
And say they're
Impossible.

But thats the point!
Dreams are impossibly large.
Dreams are unrealistic.
If we don't try anyways,
Where would we be?

Successful dreams
Are the stuff of legend.
Filled with ideas,
Anchored with plans,
And buoyed with hope.

Dreams always touch the stars
When made of
The right stuff.
We just have to believe
And continue dreaming.

Teaching

What is Teaching,
But leading others down a path?
What is Teaching,
With its many intrinsic and extrinsic rewards?
What is Teaching,
A skill or an art form?
How do you find out?
How do you choose which way is yours?
For me,
I don’t care about the extrinsic.
I care about the intrinsic rewards,
The working with children and helping others.
For me,
It is an art form.
It is a way of life that I will help student develop,
Both inside and out.
Skills and subject matter is good,
But not as good as creativity and developing love.
That is where I stand for now.
Where do you stand?
What is Teaching,
For you?

The Search

Where is the light?
I see only a miasma
Surrounding my flight.
What is up?
What is down?
What is direction?
Floating in darkness,
Eternally seeking dawn.
Time's flow is relentless.
Never letting up.
Never slowing down.
Never heeding direction.
Flowing, floating, searching.
Where is the light?

Never again
Someday, I will rise from ashes scattered.
Like a phoenix, I will live blest again.
You broke me, like glass and I was shattered.
I can feel it now, your bitter disdain.
Someday, I will bloom like summer roses,
Cover'ed in thorns, no enemy of mine will
Broach. A beautiful heart broken, poses
Waiting. Time heals all wounds. Till then, rest still.
I will mend with Time's help. Life will go on.
You will fade away, the tides do come and
Go. And you will beg, but its a foregone
Conclusion. On you ask, maybe demand?
Many curses befall you and never
Darken mine door. I will start allover.
