The main reason why I'm here it to improve. So visit that COMMENTS THREAD if you have some time :p
Anyway, I'll post some short stories here. They're all kinda vague, but hey, that's the beauty of the whole thing, I guess.

1. She's Coming

This is a story I created for a Forum Contest about Seasons. Pretty simple, but still, I liked it, and it is one of the stories which got me approved :)

"She's coming..."

He watched the sky as the dark clouds began to gather, preceding the storm that was coming. The little boy looked at him, his big dark eyes shining, while he listened to what his father had to say. It took the man a few seconds to continue, but he eventually came back to reality the sound of a crash of thunder cut the peaceful silence of the streets.

"Her peaceful aspect shrouds her in innocence, as if she doesn't know what she does. Oh, but no. She's aware of what her coming triggers."

He became silent for a moment, this time to stare at a distant house, almost as if he could see the happy faces gathered around a fireplace.

"You can smell her; a sweet scent of rain. And then, her breath, frozen as her heart, gently touching the faces of those in her way. All of us, son, all of us. A gentle touch, almost docile, enough to fool even the most distrustful of men. She calls us and makes us fall. Once we're fallen, she makes us crawl, disguising her intentions in shapes and feelings. Crystallizes us into our own minds."

The man paused again as the last of the migrating birds hastily flapped past, then resumed speaking.

"They don't have to deal with her, son,” he said, staring at the vanishing birds. “Not them. Never them. But we... oh, we are the yearly victims of the Machiavellian acts of the pale and cold maiden. Hold on to what you cherish the most, all of you who are here with us. She is coming, and without any mercy."

At that point, the man's words had caught the attention of a small group of curious people around him. Little Timmy stopped in front of his father, who was now silent, and stared at him with his deep black eyes.

"Who is she, daddy?"

"She? She's the Winter, Timmy."

Then, the homeless man fell silent, sitting down again with the other neglected people, approaching the small pile of burning newspapers, the only fireplace they would ever have.

She was coming, and there was nothing they could do about it.

2. Arrival

A little heavier than the first one, with a different approach. Anyone who read my (Now dead) 'Redemption' comic in the CA board will remember this little girl. I believe I can improve this one, so I'll need some help.

"Tonight is the night they will finally arrive!” she screamed, running down the long staircase.

The old mansion has been silent for many years, while spider webs and dust where only a few of many signs of its abandonment. But that child's voice cut the silence so loudly that, for a brief moment, the house looked alive once again. She stood at one of the many windows of the living room, watching as the sun slowly hid behind the tall mountains that surround the mansion. And after each second, she became more and more excited about their arrival.

"It's been a long time since anyone came here...” the girl said, while searching for any sign of movement outside.”I hope they stay longer than the last visitors!"

As the sun calmly crawled away, the mansion became, once again, engulfed in darkness. She lit a candle, hoping that the moon would soon make its way through the clouds and help her see through the shadows of night. The girl started to walk from one window to another, having to stay on the tip of her feet to see through the dusty glass. Smiling, she looked back into the deep darkness of the mansion. It looked like the whole mansion was filled with shadows, and only the weak glow of the candle in the child's hand was keeping her from being totally engulfed in darkness, too. But she didn't care. She was too happy thinking about what would happen once the visitors arrived. What kind of person would they be? What kind of games will they play? And the most important, for how long will they stay with her?

"They're here!” she said, suddenly.

Far away, she could see something moving into the woods. It had to be them; no one would ever explore that hill after the sun is gone. Not that hill, never that hill. The Coldheart Canyon, as some of them like to call it.

It was in that very canyon that, years ago, a small child was born. A kid, whose hair was black as night, and with big, deep eyes. A little girl, the happiness of a family, and also that family's demise. A small sign under her hair caused great commotion among the family's employees. But her parents loved her too much to listen to old, mythical stories and legends. Oh, but they should have listened to the old lady's advice.

A silver nail through the throat would be enough to extinguish the evil. A cruelty that would avoid the birth of something capable of causing so much pain and suffering to so many. The old lady was right, but it was too late when they realized that.

Her visitors had finally arrived. Visitors, of course, because it was her house. No... It was her canyon. The Coldheart Canyon. Through the cold wind and the rainy weather, the coach had finally arrived.

A family walked out of it; the father, the mother, a small boy and his grandmother. Into the mansion, the Little One watched as the coach left, in a hurry, and laughed at his fright. He probably warned that family, but they were not willing to listen to any kind of horror tale. Just like her old family. The same, old mistake.

Little Todd felt a cold wind gently touching his face. Something caught his attention, as he turned to one of the mansion's windows. A dim gleam, almost invisible, through that window. He slowly approached, taken by a mixture of curiosity and afraid. He stopped, after a few steps, breathless, as Little One stared right into his eyes from the other side of the window.

"Hello. Let's play", she said, as he read her lips through the glass.

As Little One smiled, Todd ran, screaming, after his family, which was already inside the house. The girl's eyes turned black and she gently blew the candle, extinguishing the fire.

It was time to play at the Coldheart Canyon.
