Is there any way the FI threads could be made available again to public access? I'm assuming they haven't been deleted because my post count hasn't taken a significant hit, so they're probably just sitting in a hidden FI, and it'd be great to have access to the wealth of info in those threads. It'd be a pain to move all the threads over into a current forum, but would it be possible to make FI read-only, tucked away somewhere? I think many would agree that they're a huge help in answering questions/suggestions without the staff having to get involved, so it'd be a win-win.

I agree that they could be useful, but how many of them are outdated, obsolete, or have simply been replaced with new material that covers the same information? Of the potential cons to this proposal, I currently see two: A. it takes too much time (which would appear implausible considering the recent time spent in this area), or B. It's unnecessary. I suppose there is no possible harm, though. I would also argue that necessity is hardly a standard to conform to when considering whether or not to implement suggestions, but rather practicality ... and this does not appear impractical.

I do like to be able to review the older threads, I must say. Especially the suggestions that were supposed to be implemented a few years ago and never were. Yeah. We don't want those to be forgotten. :)

FI = Forum Issues. It has been removed and replaced by the two new shiny areas , Forum Support & Forum Suggestions

I understand your suggestion, but I'm going to have to say no. The threads haven't been deleted so they can be referenced by administrators when necessary. But making them viewable in a read-only forum isn't necessary or logical - especially since it's a board full of threads dating back to the beginning of this forum, meaning that many of the threads are extremely outdated.
