Maybe if there is a keyword box that will bring up any posts with those words it would be easier to get around the forums (for example, if your going through the DF encyclopedia it is fairlt difficult to find anything that you want,)

Yeah, because I also have two A-Z guides so I always have to use the search feature for any posts within one day. But then I need a keyword which makes it almost impossible to use the search feature. Maybe the keyword requirement could be taken off.

@Ebil Twilly: There are two easy ways to find posts made within the last day:
1. You can adjust the "Display topics from last:" box at the top of the board to 1 day (or the smallest available if it isn't 1 day) which will filter out any posts older than that making it easy to find the most recent posts
2. You can click the Posts since last visit button at the top of the forum and select the board you need to find posts in from the dropdown menu.

Each board has a search box at the bottom of the page that you can use to search that specific board using just a keyword if you find the advanced search function too confusing, but most (if not all) of the things you find on the search page are fairly self-explanatory. The trickiest part of using that search function is figuring out how specific you need to be. If a search has too many results to handle then you'll end up not getting any results, but on the other hand if you're too specific with your keyword then nothing will match the search. If your first search doesn't work out it is often helpful to use a slightly more specific keyword or to narrow down the boards it searches (you can select where to search on the right).

I'd recommend looking at this guide to using the search function.

1. The pedia only shows all topics.

2. What if the post is made while I'm logged on?

P.S. Sorry for the late reply...
