Well, that's a general question. Follow all the rules, answer some questions if you know the answer, lead an example. If you're talking about being part of the staff that oversees the forums you'd have to have the skill and reputation as a rule follower and whatnot. If they had a hole that you could fill and you met the requirements and they noticed you, then it would just go from there. More or less, little would I know with my lack of staff experience so I'm open to correction, but things like that.
