The Shearhide war was against much more manageable enemies, for one thing. The nefadons' HPs are kind of ridiculous to be honest. Considering they don't even have any endurance their health scales up too quickly into the higher levels.

But seriously, the number of waves seems to be a bit absurd. When I first checked, we weren't even past the 1% mark at nearly 27,000 waves.

Lord o Darkness same opinion. The staff talk balancing monsters but look how much hp they give the nefadon's. I noticed there doing that in AQ and WF. I for my lv have tons of hp but i still can't survive a lv25 nefadon then a lv45 nefadon with no heal. I eventually run out of potions. If there going to give a monster no END they should not give them that much Hp. I am lv33 with 55 end.

They should allow AQ players to fight too! I have 7000 resources!! And I'm sure there are a lot of people with this much resources!

@Sunutsu: They're essentially 'pure' builds, with massive HP. Think of the mutants in AQ. >.>
They are easy to beat at higher levels, when better equipment becomes available, but they're just a pain in the lower regions if you're low leveled.

I'm a level 60 pure build myself and those Nefadon's can still lay a serious smackdown on me if I don't pay attention (well, it's mostly just hoping for a lucky strike, but hey).

@Rander: I was looking forward to the first WF only war, but it seems we aren't quite ready for such a big war. I know we still have plenty time left, but I'm starting to believe we're fighting for a lost cause here. That said, I'm still against getting AQ involved, as the WF needs to prove that it can handle those alien threats themselves without having to rely on the 'groundforce' each time (since that's basically the purpose of the WF).

Ah well, you won't know unless you tried, right? Back to the war. :D

*kicks another dead nefadon out of his way* These things would be easier if they didn't have high DEX but who wants an easy war? Come on guys, if you have problems with one specific nefadon like the dreaded level 65's just bail and come back refreshed. Until our character pages have a count to display on them I've been tallying fights on my own, aiming for at least 50 a night. They aren't impossible so lets get out there and start cleaning house! *owns another earth nefadon* wish I could run into them as level 65's.

Whew! These Nefadon are difficult... I'm down to 10 potions from 50 because of them. We're doing really well for such a small playerbase, though. Just keep up the morale, and we'll be finished... well, probably within a year, anyway. :P I've been farming only this war, though now I have to farm the triple-potion quest. I had to train the 20 points I was saving for STR into END in order to be able to survive even a decent percentage of the waves I fight.

Also, Galanoth's earlier post implies that this might be a war we can lose... I don't want Virin running the V'eld. Let's step it up, WarpForcers!

^ Sick Bay -> Captain Daian -> Missions. You can choose to quest for 1, 2 or 3 potions (HP and MP) and you can have up to 50 of each.

Meh, I just stick with the basic 6 and refill whenever needed from the bag.

Or if you are lazy just like me just keep logging out and in quickly so you can get six types of both potions back in a mouseclick. Even if we lose this war it motivated me to level up madly, and I'll know I did my best to stop the invasion. Although part of me can't help speculating on how much more tense and interesting the storyline might be if the Nefadons win, I admit.

To be honest, I'm actually kind of happy that we can lose this war. If we couldn't, it would without a doubt be taking up our war slot for many, many months to come. Plus the plot implications are interesting.

Doing the potion quest has made me realize how great that quest is to farm... but now I'm up to a level where I can meet level 75 monsters, so the war should be a bit more interesting. As soon as I get those last 9 potions I'll be fighting again.

after finishing aq and aqws weekly releases I guess I'll help out here. don't expect too much. I tried for about 30 minutes when the war first launched and I don't think I made it through one wave. My characters pretty sub par.

The constant need to get more potions is already starting to wear on me.

Aye, but we can't let that sort of stuff get us down. If you fight with no will, you are destined to lose, but the person who fights with meaning can accomplish anything!

Well , I beat like 5 or 6 waves of those nefadons , but it's just useless . The war counter is so down , that at this rate , we would need a year to fend off the invasion . The fact that there are only 1 type of enemies , even if they have different appearances , plus the fact that they are very hard to defeat makes me wonder if we will EVER finish this war . Not even in March will be be able to defeat Thrixx Na'thaar's abominations . Lord Frydae out .

So far I'm finding the war much easier with my beast gunner than it was with my striker. I haven't started getting the level 75 Nefadon yet, but I generally get through two level 65 with just one healing skill when I'm using Daian as guest.

Wow, just 5 or 6 waves andra and you're giving up? The more I've fought these guys the easier I've been finding them to be. I'm not happy anymore unless I kill at least 50 nefadon or breeze through a solid 13 waves. They've got 3 element weaknesses, even if you don't have a perfect weapon for each enemy there's something that'll take these big guys down.

While I am new to the Warpforce, I too fought in the Seige Of Propsprocket, and if there is anything I have learned from such a war, it's that no matter the odds, we can, nay, we WILL be victorious!
