When using the color command you have to say what kind of color you need. The easiest way is using the menu that pops up once the grey button is pressed. A bit more advanced is to remember the the colors you use. The # part is actually an RGB color code, the theory is that by using Red, Green and Blue you can produce any color. There are always six number, the first two are the amount of Red used, the next two the amount of Green used, and the last two the amount of Blue. There are entire websites that just have colors and their RGB codes, for more information try www.htmlgoodies.com

ex.

This is a nice color

effect: This is a nice color

*Taken from Forum Commands

If you need anymore help with the forum commands, you should take a look at this thread: Forum Commands (screenshots, images, links, colors, signatures)

Adding to what Mecha Mario said, there is a button underneath and to the right
of the thread.
Next to the buttons: Link and List.

Press the "Color" button and a bunch of colors show up.
Click the color you like,
And it will not show up on the editing bored, but it will say Text Here [/ color]

Example:

I like eating pie! do you?

(Add color)

Results:

I like eating pie! do you?
