Because I do not agree with buying them.

I posted in that thread:

quote:

I agree, Buying it would mean that people would complain if it was removed as a punisment or something. The current system is best.

However, if I may reccomend something, you know how the Battleon Portal has Level Ranks? Why not get a custom Avvy if you have a high enough Level on that? While saying that is an upgrade, you also say that it can be removed if it does nor fit guidelines or if you misbehave? This would only hapen AFTER there are others ways to rank up then buying points, and it WOULD be hard to get. Like this:

Lvl 50: Custom Avatar on Fourms. (WARNING: Avvy may be removed at any time due to moisbehaviour or not fiiting the rules.)

You could also get a title saying something like "Lvl 50 Fourmite" with it.

A custom avvy getting this way would of course be hard to get, and would come with the title of LVL 50 Fourmite. It would still be earned, but in a different way.

I like this idea, but I don't know how hard it would be to link your forums account to your BattleOn Master Account.

Edit: Hm...I'm having second thoughts about this. Maybe a title that said "Level x Gamer" for people Level 10+ (level 10 requires a lot of buying), but I don't really like the idea of getting a custom avatar just by buying it. But again, I don't know if it's possible to link a forum account to a Master Account.

Acient J: to quote my first post:

For example, I belive Swordhaven (When released) was intended to up your score. So it would NOT be by buying points, though this would contribute a little, but rather from earning them.

I say no. Custom avatars should only be a reward for being a friendly, helpful or constructive user on the forums.

Better yet, be able to have custom avatars on your Master Account System since nobody else can view it.

IMO it would just be whoever earns one showing off to everyone else.

Custom Avatars are designed to be earned through your actions here on the forums. Earning them any other way such as by buying them (which, Master Account levels are largely tied to purchases of Battleon Points right now) is incredibly unlikely to happen as they are commonly used to denote forum members that the staff feel can serve as role models to the community. Being able to purchase such privileges defeats this purpose, and obtaining them by playing one of the games not only goes against it but also encourages the use of cheats and hacks in the games in order to get a custom avatar on the forums.
