barely a handful of people actually play this game(WF)at all, is it THAT unpopular? so much that it shouldn't exsist?

WarpForce seems "unpopular" due to the fact that it is only an expansion of AdventureQuest so it isn't really a whole new unique game.

And also the fact that it is updated monthly, and as such not many people play except for the middle of the month when the releases come.

Though those probably are factors in its unpopularity, the main reason that I don't play as much as I did when the game came out is the gaps in the content. Unlike AQ, which has pretty much no level requirements for most quests except a few (and the main quests with requirements are those in the Devourer Saga, in which content comes at each and every level), WF has level requirements everywhere. The worst part of it is that they're all the SAME requirements. Every quest has a level requirement with a factor of 5, making it so that new quests can only be accessed every FIVE levels. Five levels may not seem like much, but it takes quite a long time to get through and this time increases even more as one levels up, until the game is just horrible to get through. I really enjoy WarpForce's story, the only problem is the mandatory level requirement.

I personally wouldn't say 'no-one cares', or that the game shouldn't exist.

I am suprised that more people don't play it, given the numbers that play AQ.
But I imagine its popularity will increase once more content is available and its possible to be higher levelled.
I believe, because the content released has been excellent, that most people who enjoy AQ would surely enjoy this game.

I know its a fansite, and as such only represents a proportion of the player-base, but there are only approx 14 WF characters at level 78 on aqstats. (July '09 only).
I thought there would be a few hundred.
Perhaps players are focused on levelling up their AQ characters.

I hope that the storylines evolving in both games end up intertwining more and more.
For people who play both, this will mean more releases and more fun. So keep up the great work!

One last thought, maybe level cap will reach higher than AQ current cap, e.g. level 140, that would surely get people playing.

More players will join over time especially once they realize how much has been released without them checking it out. I think eventually we will see a major turn around where the staff makes an incentive for people to check out the game and they will all be hooked! Regardless people do certainly care and will continue to do so and it shall keep existing. Question answered, thread locked.
