Seeing as Bloodlust and Shadow Arts now require 38 Tech and Support respectively, is a support and tech requirement on massacre and venom strike really necessary?

First of all, massacre. At level 1 this requires 23 support. No big deal, and most str bh, like frostbite claw bh need 30 support anyway. But is a smoke/massacre build really even overpowered if you can't have max shadow arts? If you're just barely meeting the 23 supp requirement on massacre, you can only get level 2 shadow arts. So you wont have the block rate str bh are now infamous for. If you decide or have a wep requirement of 26-30 support, you can get more shadow arts, and the massacre requirement becomes irrellevant. In fact, in most cases the support requirement on massacre makes no difference whatsover. EXCEPT in high level massacre builds. These 5-max massacre builds have been harmless and perfectly balanced if not UNDERpowered for all of epicduels history. Then you put a support requirement on massacre that made these builds completely unusable while not affecting overpowered smoke/massacre builds at all. Now that we have support requirement on shadow arts, this requirement is even MORE irrelevant to the average smoke/massacre bounty hunter. Just take off the irrelevant support req and let us use high level massacre builds again.

Second, Venom strike. This is even more irrelevant seeing as bloodlust requires tech. Unlike shadow arts, bloodlust is essential, so we will already have 32-38 tech. But venom strike makes us strain to an extra 40 tech. Why? After being nerfed to 70% normal strike damage and blockable, when was this skill even useful? Why limit it to 4 focus and high tech builds? This 40 tech requirement is redundant and pointless. Poison builds are perfectly balanced, and have been for a long time.

If you're gonna put tech and support requirements on our passives, at least have the courtesy to take them off our normal skills.

Let's just use in one area instead A Comprehensive Balance Discussion to discuss for balancing. Thanks. :) ~AVA

Deadly aim has requirements too and I didn't see anyone complain of that for ages . Bounty hunters are still the best class IMO though :)

Heh, the only way the DA supp requirement would matter is if you were trying to make a strength mage. "Strength" and "mage" are two words that do not generally go together.

That is another good point however. We are still the strongest class because we have killer 5 focus massive defense, max passives builds that cannot be touched by stat requirements.

^ Yep . Also , the nerf of DA really bugs you when you build a tank for NPCs . It took away my gun damage of Charfade because i hadn't noticed it's requirements :(

I guess that the game has finally balanced out the Bh class. It's good to know that Bh don't get to block as much now.

Response 1: Yay! My level 29 mage isn't a boxing bag for Str BH's anymore!

Response 2: Yay! My level 30 BH escaped all this with a +4 bonus build!

@above above
If you are talking about the reqs on bloodlust and shadow arts, I can understand your point (although i feel these restrict the non-varium bounties just as much as the varium ones). However, how exactly is the req on a skill like poison strike stopping any overpowered build? It is rather preventing experimenting on new builds and nothing more.

It isn't like that. Just go out & ask all mages as to why they don't use Charfade's Staff. And you will get a simple answer ..... High Stat Req. It happens like that for us. And it happens for 4 of our best attack skills, 2 of them being the passives. It's this "Use It Or **** Off" kind of attitude that's implemented on us. i hate this the most.

*deep breath* *exhale...*

My point, as always, is the devs need to find a NEW WAY to nerf strength bounty hunter because this one is crushing creativity and freedom for our class. Apparently no one else can get past the notion that we aren't just whining and have a valid point. Yes, people I know 4-5 focus builds exist and are useful, but I also like being creative sometimes. And so what if your noob isn't a punching bag for strength bounty hunters? I guess focus bounty hunters are EASIER for a level 29 mage to beat? Not that I'm defending strength builds, but we did you a favor by ending unwinnable battles fast.

Maybe what we need to do is get rid of shadow arts. It has caused nothing but problems and balance issues and limit my build options. What do I mean by that? If I use a build without shadow arts, I get beat up by bounty hunters WITH shadow arts. I'd rather have no shadow arts then these awful stat requirements on everything.

*gasps* Get rid of Shadow Arts? Are you a bounty hunter?

Yea, I know, when the skill first came out, it caused me a lot of problems. I had to virtually rethink my build *grumbles that 10 stat points disappeared*. But I found one. And I know you can too. As such, I feel that, in a sense, it actually made me more creative. So think, Giras Wolfe, and find your own build.

Alright, no more Strength Bounty. Good to see we can't make a build with less then 4 focus though.

SA- Support req Need
Bloodlust- Tech req Need
Masacre-Support req No need
Venom-Tech Req need

For making BH Smoke/str builds less strong SA and Bloodlust is needed , and Venom/masacre/str build was an oped build so Venom need tech req , but i dont see any body with max Massacre it will be total energy loss and they cant do str much because it will require much energy so its no need

What most people forget here is that Hunters Needed Strength when it came to facing NPC's like BT. And in future more will still come. And that nerf hampered that Battle Style real bad. Most people here complain Coz of SA. I don't give a **** to SA but we need Bloodlust to be used at full potential with strength so that we can Counter NPCs. Do people realize what really happened to us ?
