Currently i'm a Bounty Hunter and i've been thinking alot about merces.
well if i switch from bounty hunter to merc is it worth it?

Bounty Hunters can beat every class without to much trouble usually, also mercs are in for a nerf so it's best to stay BH.

Well it is generally easier to find an effective build for mercenaries than for any other class, including bounty hunters. But I chose bounty hunter in the first place because I liked a challenge. You just have to weigh whether you want to take the trouble to find a good bounty hunter build, or spend real money on varium to change class, and a considerable amount of varium and credits for mercenary gear.

if i we're u i would stay with your class no matter what class gets oped, they'll soon be nerfed.. its a varium cycle.. admins making money of class change, u helped us for 2 weeks after class change release but than took advantage of us..

Admins are nice arent they?

stay a bounty, I never tried merc much myself, but I have a feeling that even though 5 focus mercs are ovepowered, they probably have a high chance of getting blocked with max SA + 90 dex+5 focus bounties and one single block may mean failure for mercs

^ ya a single block will be fatal to mercs but since you changed already you get the Achievement as a bonus so it wasn't all bad if you plan to change back to BH.

 I'd say go for it if you think it would be fun. Worst case scenario is you learn alot about how mercs play, and learn thier weaknesses first hand, and go back to BH if you don't like it.

@ DungeonHunter: pls just go allready instead of spamming the forums with your angst.

Changing to merc will have some advantages and disadvantages.For starters they are good fighters but you'll have to save up lots of money for good weapons.
And besides if you know how to play better in BH then u should stay.Mercs are like tanks, they can dish out big dmg and have good defense but they need a certain build for that to work
For BH they dont need that kind of certain build to give a good fight.But if you wanna change its all up to you

I would say don't, because I did the opposite and it has been a great deal for me. Merc to bounty has gotten me a much higher win ratio, plus more fun and diverse builds. As a merc, there are high str, high sup, 5 focus, 4 focus, and high tech. (Not many, but some high tech)

As a bounty, most are str abusers or 5 focus. More builds possible while still being unique.

 Merc Owns Bounty. Well I own almost 95% of BHS I fight.
