Fellow duelers,
I must first say that I have been VERY inactive, I apologize to my faction members and all who have missed me :P
But on to more serious matters, I can't see a simple positive post on here.
Let's take a trip down memory lane shall we?
Why was it you decided to play this game? What drove you to spend countless hours to reach level 32?
I'm not sure about you guys, but I started playing this game and I liked the idea of dueling other REAL people and meeting friendly faces.
It was announced the Gamma evolution would bring a wave of new people into our lovely little community, and it has. I have seen more people than ever before running around central station.
However, it has also brought this community into meltdown status.
I remember logging on to the EDF and just chilling, replying to actual worth-while posts. Balance was not much of a matter at that stage.
Sure, there was the odd quitter due to silly reasons, but that never stopped us loving this game.
Now, I see no point in why people play this game, there have been CONTINUOUS posts on "I'm quitting, this game is stupid and luck needs to be nerfed". And then a post by the same person stating "This is my balance solution!"
The only thing people can do to restore balance is to stop complaining every time you get critical hit or blocked.
Luck is luck, if it weren't for that factor, there would be no F2p and the game would turn into a "Who's got more money, has more wins" game.
What I'm trying to say is that, Titan and NW will do A LOT for the community, and every time a bunch of people complain about something, they will try their hardest to fix it.
Once you post a complaint thread on how you lost to unfair odds or what not, you are the potential cause for a delay in a release, or lack in new content.
Two people can only do so much in a week, and balance generally out-weighs new battle modes, or new items.
Balance will restore itself, new builds will always be made to counter one another, Class change and multiple accounts were implented for a reason.
Having a dry stroke on your battles? hang out at oz and just talk, Do not run straight to the forums and start a riot over a little issue.
Try forget about your precious win ratio's and enjoy the game for what it is.

Sorry for the wall of text, but that has summed up atleast SOME of the issues we have :P

You two are the perfect example of what I have just stated, thank you for proving my point.
I'm sorry, am I pointing out something unclear?
Maybe you should focus more on important things.
Did replying "This isn't a discussion". or "Why should I care?" accomplish anything? Did it give you a reason to sleep soundly at night?
The mere fact that you would condescend a post such as this, yet go and agree with some fool screaming over his hacking partner is beyond me.
But thats just the sort of people this community has accumulated I guess..
And yes, I know this post will be deleted because "I'm not allowed to post twice on the same page"
But frankly, I don't care, That's just another glorious feature to abide by.
Also, considering you probably didn't actually READ the post, please don't comment any more.

Exactly, these guys(two people above me) are the perfect examples of the new community.. I am an old player i just made a new account.. ED used to be fun and the community USED to be friendly.. Now there are so many whiners who don't appreciate what the devs do for us.. Instead of thanking them they complain and complain when unsatisfied with a new update.. It's like the whole game became crankier.. I know this because i am also a founder..

I've been playing since December 09... I never say anything against the developers I think they do a great job but the 'gamma noobs' spoil everything. I don't care if you're a founder because you clearly don't have much of an idea about this game. I have seen builds die due to updates (such as heal loop :(..). I'm referring to this noob who posted above me incase you guys couldn't figure that out.

There is no need for this to turn into any sort of flame war..
The point of this thread was to discuss and to get a better understanding on what exactly is wrong and what has happened to our friendly community.
Why a fun game has turned into that of a fire pit for people to throw hurtful comments at each other.
And in general, why most people don't find this game "Appealing" anymore? I have seen better builds, more content and the game has evolved in nearly every aspect.
I would like to know what's so wrong about it.

@ B345T : He falsely accused 2 people without sufficient evidence, he used 2 quotes which wouldn't really define these new noobs that emerged throughout the community during and after Gamma.

i try to see it how it was. and do my best to show how we used to be. telling things how they are, not freaking out over every nerf or new crazy build, trying to enjoy myself as much as possible, and getting along with old and new friends alike. once we all felt this way, but times have changed and you can either stand aside or jump right in. i choose to stay and enlighten the new generations.

p.s EDreborn is a get place to be yourself, more like edf

You have no idea lol.. I have a lvl 31 about to be lvl 32 bounty founder with founder armor, a lvl 32 nonvarium mage, lvl 29 merc with varium.. I've started playing since June 2009.. before you AE people started taking over the game, so dont you dare say i dont know anything about this game.. You think you know a lot about the game just because you know how heal loop works? Do you even know gamal(Former no1 of the alltime 1 on1)?Do you know the 3 stars and a sun faction(a faction that ruled the place in early-mid beta)? Did you know that the old forum had an off topic page where we talk about things unrelated to the game?Do you know Testbuild(Used to have the best win/loss% in the game? I've fallen out with this game and barely play it anymore for the exact reasons B345T is talking about. Just doesn't seem worth it anymore, I'm having more fun playing AQW.

Yes I know them all besides Testbuild and I was using heal loop as an example, I never said it defines how much I know about this game. Yes I joined when AE merged with ED and yes I was a member of the old forums.

Gamal, if I remember dummied or was botting so he could go away from his computer so he can carry of fighting. Only reason why he was number 1.
Three Stars & a Sun DUMMIED why they was "So good". NOT saying all the players but most of the faction cheated that's the only reason why they ruled, till they got caught.

The only thing that is wrong with this game are the admins. People wait so long for a release & when a release comes you get something like Fame & you wonder why the community is this way? It is NOT the players it's the owners. Yes there 2 people, who cares? Get more admins, you sucking the money out of the community anyway. Get help from the AE team if things are so bad. Instead of saying 2v1 & boss battle modes are coming & you have to wait like a year for a release how do you think the community feel when there spending all this money on the game, get bored of doing the samething over & over again & quit

Why I've stopped playing. Started in December 2009, stopped in August 2010. (Stopped not quit)

Epicduel is awesome. But I stopped around the same time LambO did. I played aqw but then after two years of playing aqw i got bored so I went back to epicduel and here I am. People need to learn not to complain. And btw that's a lot of text :P

IMO only
I think the ED community is quite like real life.
You get good ones and bad ones.
If you treat others as you would like to be treated (and I mean nicely) usually you get niceness back in return.
If you get one that is 'not so nice' then it is a case of 'turn the other cheek' or ignore, or report.

This is my opinion only.

Here's my input.
Back in early beta, varium didn't exist (as far as I was aware, anyway).

When Varium was introduced:

Free players get treated much worse compared to Variums (I am ok with people paying Varium to have 15-20 stats more, but enhancements just destroyed balance as it is, as essentially, Varium players now get 30-40 stats more than the average free player at level 32, which is as much as 10 levels difference)

Elitists (this wasn't as much of a problem back then, but I noticed the community suddenly got much more immature after i came back from my 6-month break from AE)

More and more things that are varium only (class change, name change, enhancements are near impossible except for hardcore players if you don't have varium)

The introduction of fame didn't help either.... (fame beggars, bribery, Practel even got korin to post his[Practel's] ED char page for fame)

And currently, the majority of players use the cheapest builds possible (support build, str build, etc...)
Which annoys people more because ED is supposed to be for your own unique strategy, yet it's become a copycat game.

Well idk....if the devs made fixes more quicker and more often then people wouldnt complain as much and as long. And instead of

focusing on fame and war kills, they shouldve fixed the current battle modes and continued on to create others such as 2vs1. This

game isnt even out of testing. Its still in gamma which means it isnt really all done yet, so why are the devs making small useless

features when they should finish laying down the groundwork for the game? Those are pretty much my main issues.

I have play this game way longer then you. like december 2009. I just made chosen to be non varium. I had merc that is warlord that was time in beta and excuse me what has ED done for mages nothing. So yes we do have right to be annoy.Also since you mention 3 stars and a sun then you should why they disban cause whole faction was dummy. so call first non varium to get 25k was gammal he was ban for dummy. Did you know the savagekillers the one you see now is remake of fist one.
