I'm confused, do any of you understand the concept of "RARE"? From posts I've seen about various weapons, such as the bunnyzooka, you all act like something being rare is a foreign concept to you.

When an item is rare, it's RARE. It's not coming back, and will most likely never come back. Understand yet? If a player like yourself would get over the "I must have all weapons concept" this game would be a lot better by now. When the players complain, you only the delay the update yourself. Get it yet?

Titan and Nightwraith have some very exciting things coming out, and that gets delayed every time you bicker about not having your selfish way. If this the way our future society is going to be in the real world? Selfish people who only want personal gain? If they can't have it no one can? I doubt many of you will refuse to accept this possibility, but it's shows through the way you post.

If you want the game to be fair and fun, get over not getting an item because it's RARE, and just play the game.

Well said *nods* but there are some people who don't know which weapons are 'rare' as opposed to 'seasonal-rare'. I myself thought that some of the valentines day weapons were 'rare' but I saw them again this year, so its an easy mistake to make.

the reason so many people were upset about bunnyzookas is because there an awesome weapon and give an advantage to anyone that has them.

plus if you look right HERE you will see that the bunnyzookas were said to be seasonal rares.

so how bout now you explain to me way a weapon that is based of a season of the year and was origonaly given the title of seasonal rare has not come back?????

Well I'm not speaking about the difference between seasonal and non-seasonal. I'm arguing the fact that many players act selfish because they can't get something. Usually, it's their own fault for not getting it either.

I cannot stress this enough, it's about smart investments. I bet people laugh at me for treating weapons as business investments, but this game is like an unstable economy. You don't know what will be strong and what won't and when you see a weapon that has excellent stats, you go for the weapon.

and right here u say that the complaining delays the game. and as seen in my post above i explain the reason the the complaints. The only items that are labled as RARE that a mass of people were angry about was there bunny zookas. so your entire post was realy based off of just this one example. yea people have complained about founder and beta but not anywhere near the amount of people that were upset over the bunnyzookas

pluse a huge part of the population wasnt even around when the bunny zookas came out

Just posted about the same thing in the Bunny Zooka discussion.

If you have missed out on a rare then its just bad luck. Learn to live with it and be prudent about what you buy in the future. You too can collect your own rares as Celtic Cleaver goes rare this week.

@above. A huge part of the population WAS around when the zookas came out its just that a LOT of players have quit for varying reasons.

@BloodRainbow. I don't think that meant Seasonal as in they'll come back again in the same time next year, but rather, they're seasonal as in they are themed to the season of that time.

Context meaning can be confusing sometimes, believe me.

@PD... Even if that is how they ment it it should have been brought back anyway. Because when i asked why it wasnt coming back NW said that they, they said it was a rare weapon and it was never coming back, and they didnt want to be called liars. But then i informed him that they also stated that the valentines weapons were going to be rare and that they were never gana come back but they just slaped a seasonal rare sticked on them and brought them back. and all he said was Good Point. So it doesnt matter which way you look at it, the bunnyzookas should have come back.

@BloodRainbow: They are going to release new zooka on friday and it is probably going to be another OPed and overpriced weapon. So just buy that and forget about bunnyzookas already...

First and foremost, I fail to see the discussion here. What are we discussing exactly? You have stated the definition of "Rare" and "Seasonal-Rare", but you haven't mentioned a discussion at all. There's no how to constructively 'fight back' a definition.

The developers are constantly interessed in their players' ideas, and the forums are the most suitable place for constructive criticism. If we do not expose our ideas, how can EpicDuel improve? Telling people to 'get over it' and stop complaining is not going to get anywhere.

Near the end of the post, you called people 'selfish'. I'd like to post the definition of said word according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary: "concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others".

Bringing back an item so that everyone can have a fair chance to get it is, by no means, selfish. Maybe ambitious, but not selfish. Sincerely, it's the other way around.

People are allowed to state all their points as long as they follow the rules. Telling them to 'shut up and get over it or the updates will be delayed' is not valid. We all defend a cause, but we must respect all the opinions around us. If you disagree, please, argue. But never tell them to stop talking.

@Denolith

I'm sorry but I highly doubt you understand the current community situation here.

I never discouraged people about discussing their concerns. Players here don't "discuss civilly" they usually type posts in Caps lock. Players here (not the majority) are indeed selfish. They back lash at us saying we've been too spoiled when it's the exact opposite. The competitive feel in this game is intense. If players don't feel like they're getting recognized or winning enough they go into a temper tantrum. That is the reality of the EpicDuel community and it's been this way for around 10 months now.

Players can discuss their concerns, I have my own, but whining over a single weapon is pure malarkey. The discussion is "what is your concept of RARE".

Do you understand now?

P.S. I never said shut up, and I would prefer if you're going to imitate my thread, you do it properly.

most items are either labeled seasonal or just rare from the beginning. bunny zookas are the exception. they were deemed to powerful, do to no requirements, and were changed.

@denolith lotus is from the old generation of epicduel, we used to post at epicduel forum were we could speak our minds and not feel threatened by the mods by endless rules and regulations. we, as a whole, came together to better this game and everyone in it. but the community has lost this group mentality and is only focusing on what helps themselves. whether complaining about other classes, or complaining about weapons they dont have, these are only said to benefit them. if we ever wish to get anywhere we have to work together. like complain about 2v1, or varium buyback, or give examples of new weapons to better the game.

I agree Soliqe. You just have to accept the fact that you don't have the weapon and move on.

I do understand your point! :) What I don't understand is why people can't have the fair chance to buy an item they didn't in the past. Of course, if an item is 'Rare', logically, it shouldn't come back. But if it does, I don't understand the anger. Personally, all seasonal-themed items should be re-released annually unless stated otherwise.

I will briefly comment EpicDuel's community. Although this may seem off-topic, it also seems to be very relevant to the matter at hand. I visit the EpicDuel boards quite often, and I don't see these kind of posts you guys have mentioned. If they exist, the ED AKs are doing a great job taking care of them. In my point of view, the ED community is a lot constructive, clever and helpful. I really enjoy visiting the ED boards such as the Q&A and the GD.

Just to address one of your comments, I am not imitating your thread. What really matters not only here, but in every discussion, is not what we write, but how we write. Although 'shut up' is indeed a strong word, and I apologize for saying it, it's clearly being used in your first post. Indirectly, that is. Especially in, but not limited to, that last sentence, if I may say.

After mentioning all these points, I once again insist that bringing holiday-themed rares back is a nice and kind action. Especially because EpicDuel used to have a 'level requirement' when buying items, which was recently removed. In a matter of fact, that's exactly why I didn't buy most rares.

You may not say because I was never intending such a term. Before you speak out against me you should not judge on first impressions. I write perfectly normal. Excuse me for not adding in the occasional smiley to let others know I'm not angry. I write straight and to the point, there is no reason to add "fluff" to a post just to make it pleasing to others.

I was never deemed a seasonal rare. When released, they did announce it would be a rare item. Much like the Rixty weapons. You are indeed correct they do a wonderful job here, because there is obviously a lot you miss out on. As you can see, there are many others who see my view point. Until you've been forced through the riff-raff without the pre-intention of finding yourself in it, you will understand by my terms "selfish" and "rude". You may it unethical and unreasonable, but it is reality, and you're blessed to not have experienced it.

If it's tagged as a seasonal weapon, sure. Bunnyzookas were released on a holiday, but were never deemed "seasonal". Regardless of whether it's nice or kind, when you break a promise it reflects negatively on your company. The Elite fiasco is an example of this. Luckily for the developers, there were few players who were elites, but there are many players who own the rares of last spring/summer.

No doubt you still disagree agree with my opinions? Maybe I'm prejudiced? Until you've experienced what "the remnant" has experienced while in the different generations of the community, I cannot take some of your points seriously. We will never find common ground because the difference of views. We can only agree to disagree.

I agree that seasonal rares should indeed come back the following year as is traditional with most of the other AE games.

I do understand that players were confused about the Bunny Zookas being a seasonal rare which we have ascertained they aren't.

However, there are many players that missed out on getting the "RARE" items who continually complain that "Rare" items do not deserve to get a buff even if once a year.

Now I am most sure that these same players won't complain when the seasonal rare items are released again the following year with buffs.

What is the difference? A rare is a rare whether it is seasonal or not. It should be regarded as something that is highly prized. A rare is an investment.

The only difference between a true rare and a seasonal rare is that the true rare will never return.

Its just such a shame that so many of the younger ones live in such a "throw away" society that the value of "rare" is misunderstood as merely something that they didn't acquire so others that have it should throw it away.

@Soliqe @Denolth

Soliqe would never say 'shut up', he is just stating that people need to get over the fact that RARES are RARE. Bold is just putting emphasize on the rare, not trying to be harsh or angry.

Just thought I'd clear that up for both of you

Happy posting,

first of all bunnyzooka were considered “spring promotions” they arent seasonal rares. they are classified rares bcuz it was a promotion for buying ae card. so it isnt bound to come back. if you missed you missed. if u want titan to bring it back without promotion thats 2.2k varium. and nightwraith stated it was one of those things that will never come back

@shandronica
good point.

That is under the picture of NW battling the hulk. Even though the "seasonal rare" can be interpreted different ways, this states that they will never be offered again. Same DNS btw.
