Ok guys I did a lot of test on this and asked ppl etc. I just understood that rage means higher block chance and that shadow arts is not helping anymore, it worked perfect the first weeks it was released but later instead of u had the chance to block all merc started to block and so for mages too. Dex doesn't matter and we already talked about this that it all depends on luck. I just want to say: MERC IS INSANE BLOCK MACHINE!

What do u think?

Rage doesn't affect block rate in any way. A normal strike and a rage strike will both have the same chance to be blocked.

And most Strength mercs now are putting in much more Dexterity in their builds, which is why you aren't blocking them so much anymore. Where they had 40 or 50 Dexterity before, Strength Mercs are now using 70+ Dexterity.

As for luck, yes each individual block is pretty much just luck but over a longer period of time, someone with higher Dex will be blocking more than someone with lower Dex.

That being said, there's already a topic on this subject here: I think there are more blocks in the game
