 Hey all. Which do you guys think is better? 5 Focus BH, Merc, or Mage? Discuss :)

Personally, I think Merc, because they can have massive defenses, and since not many people run claws with a 5 focus BH, VenomStrike cannot come into affect. Plus it sucks.

 bounty is better for merc its not very usefull and mages don't need it cause we have tech shield.

5 Focus BH's of course they have the best combo with skills like bloodlust, shadow arts, emp grenade, smokescreen etc..

Bounties. They hit as hard as mercs, but get health back from it. Also, they have shadow arts which makes them alot harder to hit. If they have stun grenade, they also benefit, because a lvl 10 shadow arts will make a stun grenade a 40% chance to crit. Then they bot, get whatever health they have lost back, and aux/gun/bot the opponent to death. I myself am a merc and though i usually beat 5 focus people, whatever class, a good 5 focus bounty will beat me 99% of the time.

Bounties are good, but I am a merc and I can get 98.6% but a 5 focus bh can only get 96.7%. Except for ghost sentinel who does 100% everyday (Npcs xD)

I say Merc but how can Venom Strike sucks? Its 11 per turn its 33 unblockable damage that cannot be avoided or blocked.

Well, merc is great and all, but sometimes they can't match up with the bounty's EMP. But I guess they're both equal, I can get a 98.7% with both easily, but merc's a lot more faster.

 Personally, EMP is an easy counter. A level 5 heal (Common, imo) is the same as an energy booster. Also, include your class in your post please :)

Because SA does barely anything, and Stun Grenade still kinda bites :3

 Level 5 Focus BH for me, That would do the maximum damage like mercenaries and can still match up with the damages because of blood lust.
It has also very useful skills like EMP,SA,SG, and a lot more unblockable skills.

EDIT:Obviously, I'm a BH. lol

Mercenary is in my opinion.
My 5 focus is very successful in 1v1 which is capable of 99% EASILY.
Although it has just 1 weakness (EMP bh), it is slightly faster than bh/mages in 1v1 and Npc.

BH. Just because of the outrageous blocks... A BH with 111 dex and 73 tech (my current mage 5 focus build :S) would pwn all... That and the fact that that particular build has good tech = a strong EMP as well.

5 focus works well w/ ANY class, IMO. You have an equal balance between offense and defense.

While I am clearly partial to +5 focus BH builds I also have a +5 focus Merc alt who does extremely well. The BH builds has a larger number of options while the Merc has the advantage of tanking and using 5 strong attacks in a row without using more then 45 energy. I'd say it's a push as to who wins more. Both are 98% or better in 1v1 vs real players.

I would say the only draw back is knowledge. If you're not accustomed to using one of these builds you might just lose because you made a stupid mistake. Choosing the right attack sequence against certain types of opponents is the greatest challenge with focus builds. There are some truly unorthodox methods of winning using focus builds so unless you were defeated using one of them it's likely you don't know them.

I believe that "Stupid Builds" for Bounty Hunters are the best :D.

 Well it matters what skills you add with it. Usually a Mercenary would kill with a Focus Build (5) but I have a Bounty Hunter build that's really helpful with a Focus Build (4-5)

I wouldn't say the mage is the best with 5 focus...
But bounty and merc are really good with them...
but i'm sticking with my class so i have to say mercs

I mostly use 5 Focus since its a good balance for the skill tree :)
BTW I am a Mage =D Noxan is the name :P

 With the most options available it will be bh. Merc is extremely powerful, but does not have the ability to layer attks. Mages sadly, are the most limited of the three, but we can still compete.

i would say bounties are the best but if you want the most damage go with a merc because they can get higher tech and lower dex because of there hybrid armor

the only way to make a 5 focus build work for a mage is if you mix it with support

 Merc of course because it has hybrid+the E armor and it has the best weapons for Tank builds.
