It's amazing how faction founders bribe their members for wins and tokens. First, is this even legal? If it is, how in anyway is this fair to those who can barely afford to pay for internet, much less varium??

Some have pure and kind methods. Others, not so much. Ultimately, it IS a war, and the point of a war is to win.
I see where you're coming from, but face it, man kind has been this way for centuries, it's natural. There's nothing we can do about it.

Take advantage of the weak to make the strong stronger.

one thing is to say "ill pay u for wins and tokens"
another thing is to say "whoever gets most wins and donates tokens gets a prize of varium"
the second one is legit because ur not forcing anyone to do it. and its completely optional.

You're allowed to give players in your faction money? (codes for varium is money, lots too)

I really don't care what the reason, you should never be allowed to give someone else money especially if you are the head of their faction. The reason is always Qud pro quo, that is to say, money for something. Money for wins, money for tokens, money to stay, money to get stronger and win more for the faction.....its all money for something. Give a total stranger money and it's fine, give anyone in your faction a pennies worth of varium and you should be banned.

How is this any differeret than what the game has been doing to the banned players? People who pay large sums of cash are allowed to get unbanned as to the players who don't.

@Sparticus,

It doesn't matter if they get banned they'll just get banned for a week.

bribing people to join the faction too is pretty common. very underhand, but then mods also abused their power when they had some to get free faction war kills.

If I may ask, who does this? The only example I can think of is Basicball and they do it good naturedly.

Ban them and disband their faction. There is a precedent for a banned faction leader losing their faction so I suggest we stick to that. If they come back they can enjoy starting over, again, there is a precedent for that also. Good luck.

Does the problem of Three Stars and a Sun or whatever is called was for this cause? Also, if its a reward is okay, but if its a business ( wins for varium, tokens for varium) it should have consecuences.

^ They dummied. Im talking about factions that can spend var on contests in which players compete for most wins or tokens etc, which intices higher level and more active players to join.

Jatar the downside to allot of those contests is if the Faction is not active after they take the win they leave the faction so they are almost exactly where they started and the host is now out X number of dollars

Inconceivable!

Bribing players to join your faction to join or play (or other factions' players to not play) is actually against the rules as it does hurt other players trying to legitimately compete in the faction war. The Terms and Conditions do state:
quote:

l. You agree not to disrupt the normal flow of the games and dialogue, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other people’s ability to use the Service;

This does include bad sportsmanship and gaming the system, which is exactly what bribing is. Unfortunately, bribing is something that's pretty hard to track and prove, but we do punish players that are found doing that for an unfair advantage.

Now, please don't use this thread to accuse anyone of bribing, or I'll have to lock this up. Instead, please PM The Lawman, myself or any other in-game moderator (Wiseman, Cinderella, Rainaka to name a few) with any proof you have.

So report the losers who have to pay to win, have them banned and move on. Why deal with spoiled losers like they are real players? Boot them!
