Why is it i send a PM and like a couple hours later it says cannot send two consecutive messages in such a short period of time...

You can't post two consecutive messages within such a short amount of time.

You can send a PM to people at maximum of 3 persons once(at the same time) by using this option below:
As an example -> To Andy, Baron, Cindy

You just need to wait after one minute to send a new PM.

that's the thing though i send one message and like a few hours or even a day goes by and it gives me that message

If you send a PM within one or two minute(s) after the previous PM, you will receive this warning:
You can't post two consecutive messages within such a short amount of time.

You can send a new PM after one or two minute(s).

If you received that message after a few hours or a day when you just sent a PM, there must be something wrong with the PM Box system.
Or, you just noticed it wrong. :p
