Friendly!

Below is extra instructions for the screenshot section of Forum Commands regarding screenshots and Lunix.

Ubuntu distribution

Screenshots are taken in the same manner as with Windows or Mac. If you find that the printscreen button does not take a screenshot or does not appear to, look for the key labled 'fn' and press with the printscreen key. Most small laptops will utilise this, as a full keyboard cannot be contained in such a small space.

After a slight delay a new program will launch, simply called Screenshot. You can name and save the screenshot, change its format by writing the appropriate file extension (by default this is .png, but for a smaller file for forum use .jpg can be used instead). The option to copy the screenshot to clipboard is also given so the screenshot can be used in an image manipulation program, such as GIMP which is installed by default.

Note: there is NO noticeable or noteworthy delay between the printscreen key being used and the image produced. The only delay is between the screenshot being taken and the program opening. A 'flash' is used so the user can be sure that a screenshot was taken at the time.

Annotation to previous notes on screenshots in Lunix:

GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) download instructions are available from the project's official site. The page for downloading the application is as follows: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ For a Lunix user this will provide the necessary information for installing and updating your GIMP version. The support forums for each Lunix distribution can provide further help on the subject of screenshots and installing GIMP.

Currently under Profiles, above the text field for signatures is a button that is supposed to point to a page outlining PGD Codes. I suggest pointing towards the aforementioned guide so new users can easily learn how to use the code correctly.
