Beep Beep! ArchKnight AQ / ED


 Thought this would be an interesting topic to most :)


How has your playing style evolved, if at all? Are you more aware of how to deal with certain builds due to experience with them or against them and how has your style changed once you figured out how to deal with certain builds/class in general? For example, high dex builds may have been a pain to begin with, but over time your knowledge may have expanded on these and you can now counter them.

So, how have you evolved it?

i love my new high dex cyber build, but i also used to have a really good support build for tac mercs until it got nerfed.

dont really use tech builds and strengh builds am not bad at. all in all i guess you could say im a mix

i like quick kills and strategy. awesome topic by the way hope this becomes perm :D

I think I evolved my playing style over the years xD

I used to be pretty active and be able to have most builds countered back in beta and gamma with just using berzerker xD. But those days are long gone and so fights are always taking many rounds so you need to have lots of patience and choose the right skill to use at the appropriate time. If anything the game has gotten more sophisticated with builds rather than just roll the dice and be risky!

I used to be a 5 focus tech Mage, But then I took an arrow to the knee but then I sold my cadets wrath accidentally so I was forced to go strength. Funilly enough, it was WAY better than 5 focus Mage since it was hard to counter :) it could also kill npcs crazy fast so Ive been using str builds ever since

I used to attack but now with all the new OP classes in forced to tank.

Can you say Stupid Build? Founded in Beta, Stupid Build Inc. has developed all my builds and thus all my strategies for success. I seldom lose with my Stupid Build even though builds and classes change around me all the time.

Not saying I can't do that without focus, I still can.

i am a stat abuser. i will always be a stat abuser well still learning 5 focus but still prefer stat abusing. stat abusing ftw XD

 I, for most of the game, have been a Support wielding tech mage. Once Heal got buffed to not increase with support, It made it much harder to win battles.

I then had some emotional confusion. Mage > TLM > Blood Mage > Cyber Hunter > TLM > Then back to Mage again.
I am proud to say I have switched to the popular "Super Charge build" which fairly well for me :)

Lately i'm looking for fast wins because i'm looking for emperor so i'm unusually using Strength build with CH class! i usually using Tanky tank builds for keeping my record clean and take the battles to the edge (unlike Str builds which u use same skills/Moves/result u win fast u lose fast u don't need to think a lot to win u started first u win u started second u lose especially against other str builds but i've broke that lately with 155 Hp) so yeah str builds are fun but not like tanky tank ones ;)

They say that the best offense is a good defense, but I've found that it's not always the case. For me, it's best to play as offensively as possible, forcing my opponents into an unfavorable defensive position. Of course, Debuff Attacks like Malfunction should be countered, but only when it's absolutely necessary.

STR BH, my build seems to work since I have beaten several full varium lv 34 CH and TLM.

Countering High dex build = 1) use higher dex 2) use very low dex give all stats to str and keep doing smoke-strike-strike-rage gun-smoke.... or gun-fireball-aux-rage gun-fireball(berserker)
Since this game is ridiculous you will probably hit all attacks with very low dex and also you will 90% do a block ;) against your much higher dex oponent.

And my playing style is for high ratio: High dex tank heallooper ch, for fast wins: Max massacre Max Shadow str CH.

ive used all kind of playing style... support era? support tlm... str era? str tlm... tanker era? CH dex heal looping immortal build.

From the dawn of robots, i used 5 focus. Then i learned i could do 95 hp 151 dext, so... yeah....

I hide in juggernaut with my devastating 121 tech build, then sneak over to npc every hour.

I started as a TM using overload/rain, then changed to BM while on lvl 20 on my first varium pack (2 so far and for some good time). It was HARD at first but then I got used to the class and liked the change (not better or worse, just liked). Liked so much that I decided to go mage all the way forever so I have to deal with the problems of the class rather then jump from one to other when bad times come.

Learned (yes, professional noob here) to use the stats table to not waste my points like I was doing ALL the way up to lvl 26... Really more then six stats points lost just made me mad when I realized it.

After lvl 29 started getting buffed sooooooo many times but got Assault Bot and it started saving me again (good thing I could rearrange skills after the bot). At this time Lectrix just defined what I'm doing to buffs:

Sometimes it works better not to use the bot for debuff and just keep attacking then heal if needed. I'm thinking now on using Energy Shield/Reflex Boost and leaving Assault bot for attack or change for the new bot if it comes out usefull. Not quite sure yet.

Suddenly after I leveled up to lvl 30 I had much less chances of winning so started enhancing. I'm cheap so just got 4 enhancements on each item and I'm doing good. IŽll add more as I spare credits and feel I need to get them.

I have to say I'm liking this game a lot !!! I'm on lvl 31 since last week and I still have to learn how to balance HP x XP
